| exactly, at first glance lots of these songs seem satanic (particularly in eden fire) but the guy who writes them all says himself that the album isnt going to be some satanic bullshit. Its going to have deeper meaning from his deepest emotions. maybe hes making religious reference to what is to come from the opposite point of view (the evil) but not necessarily making them the favored ones. | |

| that sounds pretty accurate. That interpretation makes me think of the Christian outlook on all of our destiny. WIth the Antichrist and stuff. We know its coming, have no idea when, and we're hoping to God it's not in our life time. But many are prepared for it to happen and are constantly watching for signs. I know I am. The future plans this government is making seem WAY too close to the signs the bible gives in revelations... | |

| I dont think this is supposed to be satanic... (Thank God) Because richard said himself in his interview a few years back "Eden Fire isn't going to be some Satanic bullshit, these songs are an interpretation of my deepest most private feelings, but interpreted in a way that opens doors" So i guess he is putting his feelings into a commonly known text. | |

| Sonic Syndicate seems to be pushing same basic idea throughout most of their songs. it seems to be the idea that the human race is destruction, and is wrong as clearly pointed out in powershift. Enhance My Nightmare seems to be a deeper tale of Adam and Eve from one of their perspectives (probably eves based on the statement that the temptation becaim too great however they worded it) denied seems to be a song describing gods anger and disbelief at the betrayal of adam and eve and then them lying to him afterwards, crowned in despair seems to be describing how adam was veered away from his great path by eve and brought to despair, yet god stayed with them, although punishing them. They seem to describe the point i mentioned earlier through the story of adam of eve (by story i am not implying that it was made up because it is true)they even made reference to the garden of eden in their album "The Eden Fire". | |

i agree with just about everybody here, especially adrenallin, it makes alot of since. And as for the snowfall part think about it, the first time you see snow its the most beutiful and purest white of all things, after that it looses its beauty and its not that appealing anymore as it is the same with love. although i am only 14 i have had experiences with what i thought was love although it wasnt what i thought it was, i still am good friends with her i just dont have those fealings anymore. I know now that it wasnt real love and i have no interest in feeling it again. This is my oppinion on most of sonics songs below just so everyone can see it on any song page. i think this song, or at least part of it is about how everything we as humans do we cause damage to everything else. They are singing about how this world is coming to an end due to the flaws of man and theres needs to be a change in who leads us to reverse it before its too late. By the way does this band have any religious background at all? i Know they swear and all but that doesnt nessescarily mean theyre not christian, im very christian and i swear alot!!! |

the meaning of this song is pretty clear to me, i think hes opposing other religions that encourage violance and hatred to others, phil is singing from the point of view of a christian (which he is) telling them that they are wrong and "unholy" there is a great difference between unholy and not holy. not holy would be more from the point of view of an athiast you doesnt believe in holiness. unholyness is more like the point of view of a christian saying it is against the bible and the lord. as far as the quote "Eyes fill with hatred When they fall upon me" i believe it is saying that when someone of the "unholy religion" looks at phil (as a christian) and hates him for being a christian, and he is saying how they are wrong for it... i have more you just reply and ask. (phil is a christian) |

i think he is hearing a call out from the lord. metaphoricly speaking anyway. and he is being fed strength to overcome all that tries to beat him down. for example all those people that fight and torment him for being a christian man (which he is) and he will overcome it all with the strength that the lord gives to him. he has fought battles with his faith as his only weapon and although he obtained scars through the battle he still was victorious, i believe an addiction of some sort was placed into this song as well hence the part... "I secretly crave, crave that scent again Still feel it pressing on me now Now with the onset, my flesh is weakening I steel my nerves for temptations at hand again" but he used the power of the lord to resist it and overcome it. this is just my interpretation, its my oppinion, every body has a right to there own, but i do think im right. i have much more on this song, just not in the mood to write it, if your interested just reply andd ask. (and yes Phil Labonte is a christian) |

That is a really good interpretation. I cant really say what this song is about, because im not too sure. But i do have a few ideas... One idea was what the person previouse to me said The other is a song trying to look at the athiast point of view, knowing that phil has faith, perhaps he is trying too look at the athiast point of view, stating what they must think and the pointlessness of the idea that nothing is above us and there is no greater power, its kinda hard to explain but i hope you get it. I know and enjoy the fact that most of phils lyrics are christian and i would think that he would sort of be sticking to that form of music and lyrics. |

ok first of all PuppyButcher, indictment isnt the way you interpreted it, its about religions other than christianity, particularly ones that lead to violance... phil lobonte is infact christian. Anyway, i view this song as a song to god and the ovrwhelming strength given to him through the lord... because as you can see in alot of there other songs (ex. this calling, and the air that i breathe) they sing particulary about faith and such. even so i can see where people would think this is about a girl. and yes i am christian everyone, so go ahead rip on me see if i care, the lord is the only way. |
