To me I think this song is about parents and their kids. Just watching the official music video I get that feeling, and it starts to click. Especially the lines about blood. I just get the feeling like the parents are writing their child out of their life because of they may have done, like joining a band, coming out of the closet, or something like that. It's pretty hard hitting when she says "I just want you back," which I'm sure a lot of kids disowned by their parents want deep down. |
