| Fleetwood Mac – Running Through the Garden Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love this song; now I have to find and read that story! This song reminded me at first of the poem "Patterns" by Amy Lowell. | |
| Rediscover – Do You Think Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song reeks of spiteful sarcasm. He's almost laughing hysterically while he's singing it! Love. <33 I'm going to have to go with shell_is_beast's first comment. | |
| Rediscover – Im Just Like the Other Guys Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is the epitome of Rediscover lyrics. Romantic while still maintaining their macho piggish demeanor. ;) This is such an amazing song! |

| A Rocket to the Moon – Mistakes We Haven't Made Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I'm cleaning up mistakes I've made and replacing them with ones i've not made yet Simply stunning. Amazing and beautiful. |

| The Used – I Caught Fire Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| In a bizarre way this is the most beautiful love song I have ever heard. | |
| Underoath – A Fault Line, A Fault of Mine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
EVERYTHING they write doesn't have to be about God, just because they're a Christian band! Open your mind a little bit. People have many different facets. I agree completely with Alexunder1oath. The two songs make a huge connection. I'd have to agree that this song is the best on the new album-- really powerful. |

| Underoath – You're Ever So Inviting Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I just need to point out that "turning the pages left to right" in a usual English book would be going backwards. If it's written in Hebrew, Arabic, Japanese, etc. then it is actually going in the correct direction. | |
| Angelzoom – Fairyland Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I disagree. I think it's about the loss of innocence and dreams. For instance, in the chorus: "Save the Fairyland we live in Where all failings are forgiven" She wants to save the naivety and innocence, the "Fairyland" where imagination can bloom and all mistakes are forgiven. "Feel like hunted by a Griffin I fall down Straight down" This is the fall from grace, the fall from innocence and naivety. I believe the Griffin represents all the evil and wrong in the world ("wasteland of ice" and "world of stone") and it's almost like it's hunting her down deliberately in the form of a Griffin. Not particularly deep lyrics, but a very beautiful song. |

| Blackmore's Night – Way to Mandalay Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I agree. Stunning. | |
| Josephine Collective – Crack My Heart Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I interpreted the song like geneticdesigns, although I'm not quite sure why. It also seems to me that it's about a sexually abusive father/brother. | |
| Kyo – Contact Lyrics | 17 years ago |

That was a bullshit translation, you put that in some crappy online translator. Can we get a real translation by someone fluent in French, s'il vous plaît? |

| The Decemberists – Summersong Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I have to agree that this is the best song on the album. Also, my favorite part is "My girl, linen and curls Lips parting like a flag all unfurled" There is such vivid imagery in these lyrics! I think the beauty of the song lies in the fact that everyone's interpretation is correct-- the song is about summer, death, and love, all at the same time. Those concepts are all heavily intertwined, so the story can be interpreted literally ("...the woman is waiting for her love to come home. He is a sailor and he probably drowned.") or as a an equally poignant metaphor for the coming of going of summer and/or love. The idea that the girl descibed is actually a ship is even more stunning. I'd like to believe the meaning of the song lies in that because it adds a certain undescribable element to how pretty the allegory is. =) --touteslescouleurs |

| Yelle – Je Veux Te Voir Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
It's obviously about Cuizinier, like everyone has pointed out, along with making fun of sexist and macho rappers. J'adore Yelle. :] This is so hilarious! I love it. "Cuizi, c’est quoi Ta position favorite? Tes performances olympiques Mais tu n’as rien d’orgasmique" -- that's my favorite part. |
|
| Yelle – Amour Du Sol Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I can't believe there's no comments! I'm listening to it now. :] Here's the best translation I can come up with-- I'm still on the road to fluency with French. Love of the body, love of the plants (it should be "flore"), love of the sweat Love of the huts on the ground of all colors Love without question, simple love, love for the heart I'm in a trance like Didier said, it is this that is the best I'll translate more if I have time. To me, Amour Du Sol is about unconditional love, love found through music. |
