Taking Back Sunday – Everything Must Go Lyrics 16 years ago
i think this track is one of the more, if not the most powerful and emotional track on the album. especially in the transitions it consistently makes musically from peaceful instrumentation in the verses as adam sings of the better parts in the relationship and then when the darker lyrics begin the whole tone of the song takes a raw, angry, and dirty tone. i definitely want to see this song live.

Manchester Orchestra – I Can Feel Your Pain Lyrics 17 years ago
i also forgot to add in i noticed was during the part "compare your jesus to a thief, and he took my bones and turned them into bread, cause i can feel your pain, in my bones..." he's explaining his anger with god but at the same time portrays that its not wrong to question god and feel like a bad person or totally rejecting any faith in a god because with the line of turning his bones to bread he still suggest a comfort in his god sharing the burden of his pain. just something i saw on the spiritual aspect of this song...

Ryan Adams – In My Time of Need Lyrics 17 years ago
in an interview with ryan he notes this song was written because there was this old man that slept out in front of the studio he was recording at and started to think about what it would be like to be coming to terms with growing old and thinking about your life in hindsight. for the homeless old man he could have had so much before he reached the point he is at. anyway, aside from the inspiration of this song, he put his own touches on it and intially had planned to have johnny cash use it, but it was around the time cash was in the hospital or wasnt able to come record, i cant remember, so ryan went ahead and used it. its such a nostalgic song but with a touch of content and satisfaction. the first time i heard this song i hit repeat like 50 times and put myself in the eyes of the character. It is really a moving song if you imagine yourself at that age looking back.

Ryan Adams – Stop Lyrics 17 years ago
i agree i think this song is (based on his past struggles with addiction) a "coming to terms and understanding" stage of recovery. if you look back on his most recent albums, it seems as though he is telling the story of his journey through letting go of addiction, especially between easy tiger to cardinology. starting with "two" going into almost each song on this new album. either way, the message of this song is clear and to me it has substantial meaning to me because i struggled with addictions as well and can relate to the words of this song. Ryan carries with him untouchable talent.
