I praise that guy who ripped the album to delete this song. In fact, I did that same thing, but not before asking for counsel from my kkk buddies and neo-nazi guardians. After having a brief clandestine meeting with them (I can't tell you where we meet, hence the term "clandestine", but we had a fine brunch of baby seal hearts and children's tears that our leader's wife/sister whipped up for us), we all decided that it would be funny, yes even ironic to have it playing in the backround as we attacked my city of SF and all the gays there. We decided we would call it our gay-bashing song. Good idea. Y/N? All sarcasm aside, this is probably one of my favorite songs by Franz Ferdinand ever. I like the homoerotisim of it. And I don't care if you're as straight as an arrow, I'm sure EVERY guy here has seen some guy named Michael...and thought he was a beautiful dance whore. And wanted to do him. So there. I thought at one time, he could have been singing from a girl's point of view. I mean, its not impossible, but personally, I like the idea of one of them, or some person (whoever's point of view he's speaking from) walking into a bar and being struck by some boy on the dancefloor. I mean, why not. C'mon people, quit the hypocrisy. |
