Dream Again Lyrics
Don't be afraid if you hear voices
Or feel the sweet air spoken upon you
Sometimes the sound of a thousand whispering words
Of hope will reassure
Show me the future
Will see us joined together
If the oceans fled or the mountains sigh
Then I will keep on dreaming
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
Don't be afraid if you're descending the deepest despair
Without a handrail to guide you
Sometimes the sound of a thousand whispering words
Can confuse
But when you're sleeping
They shift and slide together
Bring meaning to the ??? cry
Oh, I...I keep on dreaming
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
Sometimes the sound of a thousand whispers
Are where you live a little fear
But feel the future
Well I feel us dream together
I feel no fear, I feel no fire
Oh, I...I keep on dreaming
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream
Or feel the sweet air spoken upon you
Of hope will reassure
Show me the future
If the oceans fled or the mountains sigh
Then I will keep on dreaming
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
Without a handrail to guide you
Sometimes the sound of a thousand whispering words
Can confuse
They shift and slide together
Bring meaning to the ??? cry
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
Are where you live a little fear
But feel the future
I feel no fear, I feel no fire
Oh, I...I keep on dreaming
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream again
I live to dream

god, i love the line "Don't be afraid if you're descending the deepest despair, Without a handrail to guide you." so lovely.
it's "bring meaning to the canyon's cry."
Wonderful song... It's like I'm listening to my own thoughts sometimes...
I think the song is about taking solace in dreaming, or that dreams are an escape. Its really obvious that the song is meant to sound like a dreamscape.

I like how a lot of the lines start with don't be afraid, but my favourite is 'well I feel us dream together' - it sends shivers down my spine.

First time i heard this I thought "wow, this is such a stoner song". But then I examined the lyrics ^.^
Generally, I think this song is about staying strong and rational and preserving one's individuality in times of trouble. "I live to dream again"--that can be talking about either always living in order to dream and work for a better future (which goes with the staying strong thing). It could also be like "don't get despaired if life sucks, because you can stay strong in your dreams [the sleeping kind]". I like the first version better.
I think that this song is about wake induced lucid dreams. Before you dream, you must go through the sleep paralysis, where you can hear loud noises and the whole thing is very terrifying. After sleep paralysis, you start lucid dreaming.
