Alley talked a little about this song (and also about Windstorm) when SVIIB played at Baeble music's Guest Apartment back in August. (It's a great performance, link to the video here: http://bit.ly/9jFkmG) Anyway, she said (slightly paraphrased as I can't play the video on my phone and I'm typing from memory), "it's about having to let go because things have changed, things have evolved. You never stopped loving the person, but you just had to move on." |

For the first verse it should be: "fill it up, fill minutes up and talk about that glorious season until I'm sore." Next bit of the song is: "It could 7.7 or 3 plus 9 but baby, your fate has been set, so have a good time Give me one good reason and I'll give you mine But baby, don't leave me like that when there's still so much more time together Let's gather together" and then I hear "Ride my love away bye bye" and then "Baby, don't buy that dress on Lonely Street No, girl, don't buy that dress on Lonely Street." |

| Does anyone else think the sample of the woman speaking sounds like Snoop from The Wire? | |
| Julian Plenti – Cellophane Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I know the first line is 'Just because opinion is fascist', before 'doesn't mean you don't hold on to your beliefs'. But that's it. I really can't make any more out of this song. :( And instead of 'it's like there are sallow things to be at the outside', I hear 'it's like there's cellophane between me and the outside'. :) I wish Paul/Julian wouldn't mumble so much... :P |
