this song is simply amazing. It might well be the best song of the deris era. It's kind of funny because even thought it is the following of perfect gentleman, musically it has nothing to do with it. Perfect gentleman was pure happy metal, while this one is dark heavy, fast and aggressive and it potrays vry well the situation in which our main character has ended up... |

when I fist heard this song I fell in love with it and I just couldn't stop listnening to it. I still think it's a very good song (especially the video is amaziong), but there are better ones on the Once album. I never quite committed myself the the understanding of the lyrics of this particular song but I really feel what toumas writes is very touching and deep, and tarja's voice is just perfect to portray the atmospheres of nightwish music. |

this song crearly talks about the end of the world, but destruction is in my opinion not caused by nature's wrath as someone suggested but by mankind (it mentions napalm, which clearly indicates the use of some sort of weapon). |

Beutiful song, and I think Anetts vocals fits quite well with it. I have really enjoyed the last nightwish album despite che change in vocalist. This song in particular is truly emotoional, and it shows quite clearly how the essence of nightwish has not changed, being Tuomas the main composer of the music and lyrics. |

this is my favourite maiden song ever and one of the best metal tracks ever written. I have listened to it god knows how many times and it still sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it. It's just so powerful and emotional, and bruce's vocals gives an amazing touch to it. The lyrics are incredible, and talk about the feelings and thoughts of a man who is sentenced to death, and is waiting in his cell for execution. |

the lyrics of the song are relly sick. I can't understand how any human being can write anything so evil. It's a shame because I think Dimmu Borgir is a good band and I really enjoy listening to their music, but when it comes to this satanic nonsense I feel really baffled and repulsed.
Many people question dimmu borgir's beliefs and ask themselves whether or not they really believe in what they write. I think they do, because it's hard to commit yourself in something like this if you don't fully believe in it. Obviously the lyrics may be exaggerated to atract stupid little kids who think "wow tormentor of cristian souls, these guys are really evil, lets buy their cds!!!", and the impact of these types of lyrics is shown by the number of posts this song has recieved. |
