| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Fisher of Men Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| We'll go with that, I want to build on these as much as I can. Keep the interps coming! | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Fisher of Men Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Oh and I definitely think it's the money she wears in her teeth, so good work interpreting that! | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Fisher of Men Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| That could be it, I hear "holy" anyway. | |
| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – Ludlow Junk Hustle Lyrics | 13 years ago |

I think he says "Several angry women holding bottles of rouge." Everything else looks good though. I love this song, this album, this band. They are phenomenal live as well! |

| Margot & the Nuclear So and So's – A Journalist Falls in Love with Death Row Inmate #16 Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I saw them perform this the other night in Akron and it was very touching. Great song and great new album! | |
| Cymbals Eat Guitars – Shore Points Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I meant to say that doesn't mean I DON'T love how it sounds. | |
| Cymbals Eat Guitars – Shore Points Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I love this song; this band, this album. The lyrics are a lot more cryptic on this album than the last one. I have trouble interpreting stuff like this, but that doesn't mean I love how it sounds. | |
| Grouper – Alien Observer Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Beautiful song. Can't believe nobody else has commented. | |
| Horse Feathers – Rude to Rile Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I think this is about how the bible advocates not having sex before marriage. "She learned it from a book. Suiters approach, receive dirty looks." Not only that but I think the song is disagreeing with it. "Those fools for god don't love another's touch." That's my interpretation anyway. |
|
| The Dodos – Fools Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I believe it's "and we leave things to change on the dime." At least that's what it sounds like he's saying on the NPR live version. Makes more sense too. |
|
| The Album Leaf – There Is A Wind Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I love the vibe of this song. Great album as well by a great band. | |
| Animal Collective – Brother Sport Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Wow, it all makes sense now. Nice work, sir. Good find. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Blind Man's Arrow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| That line sounds more like "backdrop falls, in blue lights shone" on the album. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – A Bright Light Lyrics | 15 years ago |

SHANNONELAINE, I worked with your interpretation and here's what I've got: It’s all in the water colder bed and wall caving in you loved this sad october you know you said it now you know you said it to me it’s all a carol but no trace of it down there after midnight it’s just coming down it’s just closing in I don't really know how to send you away how could it hurt someone who formed the mess? I don’t really know, I cheated our fate when the tables turn and i turn away da da da da da da da da da da (x2) we’ll fall again soon curled up inside in a photograph those simple looks, innocent, ain’t it all, innocent faded eyes in the corner with that coat that never fit one down, but i note ya i listened to you, i listened to shit inside it’s so alone headed for the west again and on the road in arizona this is it, this is it, this is it one will bind us all (x2) a brighter day a new position a new condition a new battle ground a cold concussion please just listen (passes through) please just listen (passes through, it never happened) one will bind us all (x2) |

| Animal Collective – Brother Sport Lyrics | 15 years ago |

"you've got to get rid of the mourning/sort out the habits of your mind" sounds to me more like: "you've got to get rid of the more conservative habits of your mind" |

| I loved this the first time I heard it :p Always will. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Flowers Falling From Dying Hands Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song makes me imagine an abandoned factory up in the mountains somewhere, half buried in snow, with snow covering the smoke stacks. Incredible. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Bird Of Paradise Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Steps and Numbers -> Sentence -> Bird of Paradise = The best 11 minutes of music I have ever heard. | |
| The Most Serene Republic – content was always my favorite color Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Fantastic song. The little grammar error at the end kind of bugs me though; I'm pretty sure it should be "where we both can be safe," not "us both," but I didn't write the song haha. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Raise the Sails Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I think the "that is us in the avenues" should be "what is lost, we never knew," and then the "never saw a avenue" should be "never saw what we never knew." Also, "watching you, keep him on your side" sounds more like "watching you, watch the sky." The rest I am amazed that you even figured out, props :) |
|
| Bright Eyes – Drunk Kid Catholic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I am catholic. And I love this song. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Fight Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Did anybody else catch the reference to one of this band's oldest songs "On Sidewalks"? "and so we look out on the lake, and we see the white light, i said it was gold, it should have been gold." From "On Sidewalks": "white light across the lake. should have been gold." |

| KC Accidental – Ruined in 84 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Hmm, that's really interesting. I'm not sure what I picture. It makes me feel like I'm alone, walking through the woods. Just that mood. | |
| KC Accidental – Broken Social Scene Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
You actually have the artist title and song title mixed up here, what you have as the title (Broken Social Scene) is actually the artist, and the artist you have (KC Accidental) is the title of this song. KC Accidental actually IS an artist though, but they did not make this song. |

| Broken Social Scene – Stomach Song Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
First of all I have a few corrections: It should be "All people want are pills," not "all people want to confuse." And also, replace "not to talk" and "not to feel" with "LEARN to talk" and "LEARN to feel." Now, In case somebody is confused by this song's meaning, I'll post what I think it's about: The elderly singers are reflecting on how this generation relies on drugs more than anything else. They are saying how back in their day, life was just about the good times that people had with each other. |
|
| Broken Social Scene – Backyards Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
My take on this song is as follows: it's about the Holocaust. "Broken boys who look good sitting on their shelves" I'm thinking this is referring to the prisoners in the concentration camps, how in the barracks the beds were basically shelves for all of the "broken boys" to lie on; broken because of how brutally they were treated. The "look good" could be sarcasm, as many of the prisoners were basically skeletons after awhile. And just all of the other various imagery makes me think of the Holocaust, "thin" is mentioned a lot, "nothing skin," "smell stale," etc. "Hard parade" could be the marches that many prisoners were sent on, and the "naked train" could be the cattle cars that the Jews were packed into after being taken from the Ghettos. Then of course, "they lost their lives in backyards" --I believe this is a somber way of saying that all of these men, women and children died in camps that were often only a few miles from some of the towns in Europe. Overall, I think the song is speaking to the prisoners themselves, for them to be courageous, even if they are under such oppression and fear. |
|
| The Appleseed Cast – Forever Longing The Golden Sunsets Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I'm thinking that in the beginning, the first line "this country road" should be "this Cali road," as in California. The second time it is "country road" though. | |
| Does It Offend You, Yeah? – With a Heavy Heart (I Regret to Inform You) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think "had to tame" should be "entertained," but both sound right so I'm not sure. | |
| The Appleseed Cast – Raise the Sails Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Wow, no comments yet? This is a fantastic song. The vibe is great, along with the vocals drenched in reverb and echo. I wish I could make out the lyrics; all I can distinguish is "Oooh, the ground so conditioned," "wait wait wait," and something about a "captain's call." |
