| Jeff Buckley – Last Goodbye Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
A good break up song I suppose because it's rather uplifting. I just broke up with someone who truly was in love with but she fell out of love with me. I think the lines: "You gave me more to live for More than you'll ever know" are great. I appreciate that even though it's over the relationship has made me a better person and this song really reflects that. Jeff seems sad but also grateful. |

| Porcupine Tree – Fear of a Blank Planet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song is very dark but easy to relate to as a teenager. It's sad as you see people that you once knew as incredibly cool people just turn into zombies basically. PT are very good at making their music match their lyrics' subject matter. The chord progressions in this are very clever in doing that and they manage to have a very melodic chorus amongst a wall of sound for the rest of the song. Very clever. I like this song a lot. |

| Porcupine Tree – The Sound Of Muzak Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Pretty obvious that it's a jab at the music industry but, yeah, that's already been said countless times. One of the best on the album. |
|
| Muse – Starlight Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Can't stand this song compared to their other stuff but that's just me. | |
| Muse – Citizen Erased Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| One thing is for sure, it's everything that's good about a rock song. | |
| Porcupine Tree – Trains Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I'm beginning to love this album and this one is the song that strikes you straight away. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Old Yellow Bricks Lyrics | 17 years ago |

| Muse – Assassin (Grand Omega Bosses Edit) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I prefer this version. Love that bridge. | |
| Muse – Map of the Problematique Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Best song on BHAR. They are better at being Depeche Mode than Depeche Mode are XD | |
| Muse – Space Dementia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| One of the main reasons that Origin of Symmetry is one of the greatest rock albums ever made. Incredible song. Simple piano arpeggios but creates the mood easily and the ending is blissful (Haven't said that yet :D). | |
| Muse – Bedroom Acoustics Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeya. Greatness. | |
| Muse – Hyper Chondriac Music Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
HCM>HM just. They are both grat though. |
|
| Muse – Eternally Missed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Greatest B-Side they've ever done. How it never got on Absolution I'll never know. Groovy bass line and creepy ending just make this awesome. | |
| Muse – Con-Science Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I wouldn't admit it but this is a stunningly beautiful song. Bellamy's vocals are absolutely chilling. Especially "In fee-eeee-el, In sorrrr-owww-w" Incredible. |
|
| Dream Theater – The Glass Prison Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| My favourite Prog Metal song. It's very clever. Thematically and technically. Got me into DT, kinda ;) | |
| Genesis – I Can't Dance Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| First comment of this song in years hehe. Yeah, it's not as proggy as REAL Genesis but it's good fun. Good tune I guess. | |
| Pink Floyd – The Great Gig in the Sky Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| One word = Wow. | |
| Snow Patrol – Somewhere a Clock Is Ticking Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Best song by Snow Patrol by a country mile. Not that their other stuff is too shabby but lyrically and dramatically this is brilliant stuff. This was the song that convinced me the weren't just Coldplay mimics. Lightbody sings so passionately and you barely notice that the chorus is simply "Aaah-ah." |
|
| The Mars Volta – Inertiatic ESP Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
First track I heard by TMV. Very simple chorus considering their more complex stuff in practically everything else but it's welcome. They are a technically brilliant band although the singer isn't in Matthew Bellamy's league (Muse). They are probably better musicians though (Apart from Bellamy on piano/guitar). |

| Coldplay – Shiver Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is the Uber-soppy teenager song in a way. I really love it and relate to it. It's not my type of Coldplay really but for some reason this song really strikes me. Great song. I love the bridge/chorus towards the end of, "And it's you I see, but you don't see me, and it's you I hear, so loud and so clear." First time I heard that I was like wow. This guy can sing. |

| Hillsong UNITED – The Stand Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Superb song. "So I'll stand, with arms high and heart abandoned In awe of the One who gave it all So I'll stand, my soul, Lord, to You surrendered All I am is Yours [Repeat 4 times]" They repeat about 20 times when it's played live. It's that powerful. Everyone gets into it. |
|
| Hillsong UNITED – Devotion Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Good song. Love the lyrics in particular, "The lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees." Almost like imagery. It makes me fall to my knees. |
|
| Hillsong UNITED – One Way Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
First comment! Awesome song. Absolutely excellent. |
|
| Hillsong UNITED – All Day Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
My favourite Hillsong...song. Hehe. Very simply lyrics that a Christian teenager can relate to. |
|
| Hillsong UNITED – Saviour King Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Drags on a bit this song but it's worth it. Not really epic, just long so it gives you time to really appreciate its beauty. | |
| Muse – Sunburn Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Didn't really get the lyrics of this song but it's got that whole eerie thing going on that muse do well. I can play this on Piano and drums so I know it well. | |
| Muse – Citizen Erased Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Possibly my favourite song of all time. Encompasses everything that is good about Muse. Brilliant riffs, piano interludes, thumping drums and a sweet bassline. Plus that screaming falsetto we love. For me, this song was key when I got really angry with 'friends' of mine. They wouldn't reveal their true selves to me in a way. I guess I related to the lyrics "For one moment, I wish you'd hold your stage." Then when the friendship ended it fitted in well with the lyrics, "Wash me away." That's just my interpretation though. |
