Very good lyrics indeed. I think it's th only song I know about losing a dear person that actually lives up to reality. There's no "getting over" a persons who had a unique and irresplacable role in ones life. Losing this person means having an empty frame that no one will be able to fill the way this person was able to and the attempts of his freinds trying to do so are quite counterproductive. |

| This song has its equal yet to meet. There are plenty of songs about one's misery, self-doubts and anxiety but none of them just plainly states that oneself is just fucked by nature. There is no asking of what one had done wrong or whether one deserved this, just the realisation that to be a total failure. | |

afaik "trois vierges" is french for three virgins. In the general context of this song this makes not much sense. Which is why I assume that it's based on some background storry. The vocals are a duet between a man and a woman. I think that said virgins were about to engage in a relationship with him. Over jealousy or whatever they somehow managed to kill him or someone else. "A foolish fate that came about Death could not leave without Don't try to scour your inane soul It would be labour lost" The man singing might be the dead lover and the woman probably some higher entity. Together they comment a past event. The last stanca is sung by the man so he might not be dead but became an emotional cripple. This might be bullshit but it makes sense to me. |

A song of guy often pushed around and therefore developed a extremely cynical attitude. Though thinking to be the biggest badass around he seems not quite comfortable with his role. By abandoning his emotions he got his soul iced in order to create a shell around him to smash the assaults of his foes. |
