I'm a bit sure of time being a healer. Healing is a very non closure kind of word. It's kind of like when you get a cut or something and then you get a scar. You eventually forget it existed pretty much but then you look at it...and for a second or so you remember how that shit really hurt. Then you're ok again. That's pretty much how it is for me. Anyway, as Billy Corgan sang, "Time heals but I am forever broken." Yeah it will pass and you won't be a dummy crying about it so much...but you will always kind of remember. The heart never forgets. But in pertaining to this song...she is jus going through a dryspell of sorts. In a year or so she will forget this.. |

This is a cathartic song. It's like when you feel defeated and then realize by someone or some experience that you have this amazing and wonderful gift "inside of you all along." It's pretty amazing! And it's not conceit but an affirmation, a confirmation of the value and worth each person has as a human being. We often do not realize the power and possibility that lies underneath our very being! |

A great song of closure. I think she's forgiving a person/relationship that ended due to growth complications. They were on their journey for only a short time until they had to grow different ways. I think the voice of this song used to be very selfish in her past relationships. She grew a lot from this other person now and she wants them to know that through it all, she still has love for him... The questions is, did he forgive her? Let's hope so. |

This song is beautiful. It's about being in love with how you were in love with someone. Each person brings out certain qualities in us; some that are poetic and transcendental while some, horrible and mundane. But the person here is thinking about one of or thee greatest love in their life...the kind of love that made them believe again, made them feel alive again. And you have to wonder...is she in love with the person themself or the IDEA of that person. She hints a little bit to her object of affection and lamentation: " or maybe I'm just missing who I was when I was with you." This person has already "moved on" and has probably dated other people only to find that nobody has conjured or elicited that same grand "falling in love feeling" as the first/greatest love did. The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love and be loved in return! |

This song is about two ex-lovers who are still or attempt to be friends. I think it may be about Sarah's first love ("teenage girl in you") in high school or somewhere in those years. They may have been perfect and compatible in every way from music to ideas about life; possibly soul mates. They helped each other grow into better persons along the way and discovered qualities about themselves and each other; each was a catalyst to the other's significant change. However, I think time, circumstance and other life issues overshadowed those things. Timing seemed to have been off. And so they had gone their separate ways; each living a life in without each other. They still know that the other has had such an impact in their life that even if they live separate lives without each other, each one's autobiography will always have a special place for the other; maybe a paragraph...or a chapter. That's just what I think. I can be totally wrong..=) |
