Wow...this reminds me of my friend so much...may he rest in peace... This was the first song he every showed me and the first Slipknot song I ever heard. and I fell in love with this song the first day I heard it. And now...I can't listen to it without without being emotionally drained, so many memories with my dear friend just listening to this :( "Even now, I realize the time I'll never get." i agree with everyone here. when times are difficult, God will always be at your side. but i think the last line should be "What if I could touch the sky" either way this is my favorite Blindside song ever. and Blindside is my favorite band. |

i think it's about his anorexia. he knows how fragile and weak he is and he feels gulty for doing it. not only is he hurting himself but i think also his mom..or his wife. "I look at my arms resting on her back They can't be mine they look more dead then alive" he's with her and he sees his own hands that look dead cause of his lack of nutrition. he knows it's gone too far already cause he doesn't even recognize himself. but he is also trying to say that he knows God will help him through this "Fight for every breath and breathe only you" |

honestly the first thing i thought was an intimate encounter. but it's between 2 people who are madly in love. he was there to comfort and the romance just swept in and they felt whole whole physically and emotionally. Your touch You're here Your heart well i don't have to explain you guys know that feeling i'm talking about. i think i may be completely off and it could also be a personal song that only the person who wrote would understand it..what they were feeling in a special situation. it can also be seen through a christian view..it may not be but i have become used to seeing songs like that since falling in love with blindside. really it can be about anything at all..okay now i'm just rambling... |

well i thought it was more literal: A shot in his eyes His blood is in my hand I blessed this one I know he's died But now I'm feeling so strange he killed a man and he didn't really understand why he did it. he was confused and didn't know what to do. all he knew was that he kinda enjoyed it but now he has to keep it a secret. like he's proud of it too..like a clever murderer..this reminds of a story by edgar allen poe "Tell Tale of a Heart" something like that |

| he is saying something about being free from god and how much better life is better like that..he feels guilty about it..but he realizes life is better when He is there to protect you and he's always been there, so he won't continue his life on without God even though it is tempting...not sure if it's right but that's how i see it | |

| i always wonder if the songs he writes are personal or if he just talking about everyone in general. like this one, is it about a person that he knows personally and he watched them get led away from God by a girl or is it about how any man in general can get led away from God by tempation. and also in the song Time Will Change Your Heart(cause i don't want to post it all the way over there) is he talking about someone he knows personally that doesn't believe in God and how they are constantly debating or is he directing the song to everyone who doesn't believe in God? | |
