I think his is just very simply about the passage of time, and no matter what, the world will keep moving and we all jsut have to carry on. The first verse he's saying the stars are beautiful, but they'll be gone in the monrning. The second verse the next day comes and goes, and he's happy he was with his loved one that day. The last verse he's telling his love to say goodnight to the ones taht have been here before, or all the people in teh world who have passed on up in teh stars, and then watch the stars come back out and start all over. After each verse he says "we'll carry on" becuase as time goes by, taht's all you can do, jsut keep going. I love this song s much =) |

Well accually (in respnce to the last two comments), since the song doesn't put any he's or she's in the lyrics, it could be ether. I think it could be about any kind of relationship, a lesbian coupple, or a straight coupple, and if it were sung by a male it could be about two guys. In general, it's just about two younge people in love who have to, for whatever reason, keep their love a scret. The rest is up to ou peronal intrpertaton. If what prettyaddictions said is true, Torquil said this song is jsut about shopping, maybe it's about a person watching the destructive behavior of a girl who's a shopaholic. The girl is also being sexually permisquis, perhaps having one night stands, and drinking to help her feel better about ether teh source of the shopping addiction, or the addiction it's self. ether way, the girl that teh narrator is talkign about looks aged due to her destructive behaviors. The speaker has basically followed this girl everywhere, watching her until she's so destroyed she has nowhere to move on to. It's not till teh very end of teh song, taht the speaker ether realizes or confesses taht the shopaholic is her (everywhere she looked to see the girl, it was really her, thus the line "it's me, everywhere") and that's my two cents =) sorry for the spelling =( |
