Given the complete irony of the first two lines (I’m not afraid of the black man running He’s got it right, he’s got a better life coming), I think that this could have been a great song to play at President Obama's inauguration, also considering that this song is mostly about slavery and the underground railroad and Mr. Obama just happens to be black (in case you hadn't noticed). |

This is tied with Decatur and Casmir Palunski Day for my favorite Sufjan Stevens songs. This has such a great story behind it, with abololition and slavery. This whole album makes me want to live in Illinois. |
