I get a huge feeling of bittersweet from this beautiful song. It makes me think of a person ending a relationship before it got bad. Kind of going out while he's ahead type of thing. He knows it'll end, so he'd going to leave her before anything goes awry. He's deeply hurt by it, but knows he'll be okay knowing he'll have such wonderful memories. He had the time of his life during this short period. He had a time. |

This song is clearly about a prostitute. The narrator finds himself obsessed with her and beings to think of her as "his". He struggles with his obsession and doesn't understand why she doesn't stay with him and cease the prostitution. But to her, he's just some obsessed client. Very sad story for Eddie to share. Or it's just a badass party song. |

Whenever I hear this song, I think about me and my high school sweetheart. We were young, spent all of our time together... Every second. But that's not high school, that's no way to live life. We learned the hard way that that is no way to do a relationship. That feeling of complete... adoration for the other. Feeling of "What's in store in the future?". I think all those feelings are PERFECTLY displayed in this song. But hey, that's just me. Awesome, awesome song. |
