Correct lyrics: I know what you did I know So I'mma let you taste her I ain't washing my sins I ain't washing my sins Now we're lying about the nights Hiding all it behind the smiles Take a look at what you did You probably thought that you'd break my heart You probably thought that you'd make me cry But baby it's okay I swear it's okay Cause I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything Now these tongues don't twist like they did before It's hard to keep me up And you are dry But baby it don't hurt Oh, like you thought it would The more of you the merrier Now we're lying about the nights Hiding it all behind the smiles Take a look at what you did You probably thought that you'd break my heart You probably thought that you'd make me cry But baby it's okay I swear it's okay I know everything I know everything I know everything I know everything |

| Minus the Bear – Into The Mirror Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| They don't even mention anyone actually DOING coke, it's just a supporting line; "they got a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom, 'CAUSE NOBODY HERE KNOWS WHEN TO STOP." It's about lack of control and infidelity. Sure, drugs can be a part of that - but the song is about the people, not the drugs or sex. | |

Oh, he says "they'd" instead of "they've" and "boy" instead of "for." I'm obviously a huge failure. |

Really? Have you listened to any of their previous albums? Most of the songs are about sex in the pool, sex in the car, etc. They're not above anything. |

| Great song, but I have no idea what it's actually about. | |

This song is OBVIOUSLY about lack of control and infidelity. The fact that there was "a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom" is just furthering his point that people there have little to no self-restraint. They never even mention anyone ACTUALLY doing coke, it's just a supporting statement. Read the lyrics a little better. |

Sure you can, especially when people take one line from a song and decide that's what the song is about while disregarding everything said subsequently. Take the song The Warmth by Incubus for instance. I had a (stupid) friend who thought he meant the warmth of sex/a woman's vagina, so he completely ignored the rest of the song that makes it clear that he was NOT talking about sex. While it's true that lyrics are open for interpretation and can be applied to one's own situation and can mean what you want, that still doesn't justify people being idiots. People hear "They got a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom" so they say "Coke! It's about coke!" - when in actuality the song is more about infidelity and lack of control. |

Correct Lyrics: They got a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom 'cause nobody here knows when to stop For now we're just making out with the door unlocked Back in the atrium the music's slowing down (The) party's thinning out for the late crowd Fixes her lipstick, fixes his belt The coast is clear as he walks out She whispers, you get what you pay for We could cost a lot. You get what you pay for But we do it for the taste of a good high We do it for the sake of a hot night The man on the couch in the blue room With everyone stoned and talking at once With no thought to where they've been What they could've done She sits down beside him Without a hint of shame 'cause every thing's the same in it's own way Kisses her man's cheek Her hunter eyes lock on her prey She signals, you get what you play for And we could play a lot You get what you play for But you do it for the taste of a good high You do it for the sake of a hot night She senses the fear in him And an irresistible kiss And the lie she hangs on his neck Like a silver chain to her whim Pull him into the mirror again She senses the mean in him for an irresistible kiss And the lie she hangs on his neck Like a silver chain to her whim Pull him into the mirror again There's a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom 'cause nobody here knows when to stop And their hands along the rail Seems he hangs out here a lot |

| "There's a mirror for the 'caine in the bathroom" is ONE line that he repeats ONCE. If you'd actually LISTEN to the song you'd realize it's more about cheating. | |
| Tool – Useful Idiot Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Yes, indeed. The US government is so terribly corrupt (think: GOTHAM), it severely twisted the members of Los Angeles progessive-rock band, Tool, when the members were just adolescents (most notably vocalist Maynard James Keenan; who, sadly, was the most traumatized victim of this unspeakable crime [corruption]). Left morbidly (and noticeably) disturbed and ravaged by corruption, Keenan bottled these emotions inside throughout the remainder of his adolescent years and young adulthood, hidden and locked within as if his brain/psyche were a vault. Fast forward to early 1996, decades after the atrocities that left these teenagers permanently scarred, while in the studio writing and recording their second full-length album titled "Ænima," Maynard James Keenan was driven to create his masterpiece, 'Useful Idiot'; an amazing, truly masterful piece comprised of 38 seconds of a scratching record. In addition to it's remarkable musicianship, the REAL genius is how Mr. Keenan pours his heart and soul into his vocals (albeit silently), so much so, one can feel Keenan's absolute and utter torment as the track crescendos at approximately 0:16. I've gone about ranting and raving how unbelievable this song is and have forgotten to explain how deep the song title is; an infinitely interesting and somewhat ironic reference to a later-day war time hierarchy. 10 Stars ********** out of 10 |

| you're absolutely right, but you're also absolutely wrong if you think Tool has a "higher level of meaning" when compared to bands that are actually good. | |

Actual lyrics: You've seen the stars Here's your troubles ending A million miles from here Will they disappear A galaxy of excuses far away The frequencies of our little towers A rusty sound reminding us to pray Will you tell me if it really matters So take your bags But leave your things behind Cause this is never over Going undercover Said you were another Why don't you just let me down When you're in your positions I don't see inhibitions The time has come to let your demons out We broke down and we broke up running Oh my God, our chance has passed away It's boring down to the changes in our hearts So take your bags But leave your things behind Cause this is never over So tell me what were you really looking for Going undercover Said you were another Why don't you just let me down When you're in your positions I don't see inhibitions The time has come to let your demons out |
