Even though this isn't technically the place for this I love the song so I'll put in my two cents on a few lyric interpretations: For the chorus I think the last two lines are: the winning clause it pleases God the losing clause pleases me Also in the second verse i think the first two lines are "a peculiar three gifts of wine and Hennessy" |

I think (and I could be wrong) that it's "They rarely do" instead of "They really do"... it makes more sense that way as well. I only heard the full version of this song recently and it's so beautiful... Shame it didn't make either Sun Giant or the LP. |
