| The Morning Benders – I Was Wrong Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I just saw this band at Outside Lands. They were my favorite band of the festival and I downloaded all their stuff from iTunes the same day. when you think that you're alone ..... All down the line it's hard hard to believe that we ever lived apart Sometimes a girl can make you forget we've been alone since the start This song seems to be about staying connected to yourself, especially when in you're in love. In a way it makes me think of attachment in general. All good things come to an end and if you lose sight of yourself feelings of depression and hoplessness will follow -> You cover it up, just to stay on your feet, but the cut is just too deep |

In terms of pure sound, this is one of my favorite Radiohead songs...lush and beautiful. Perhaps it's about the environment. The Irish sea is polluted with radiation so "I'm on your side Nowhere to hide, Trapdoors that open, I spiral down" could be the eventual total destruction of the environment and we're "Getting a message we can't read" - we don't see that we are destroying it... This beautiful world. |
