| Ladytron – Deep Blue Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Even though I would agree that the song is about a "self-protective and scared individual", I also think that Deep Blue refers to the famous chess computer. Especially the first lines (take you to the power station and let's go and play before they take you down) indicate to this interpretation. The chess computer is a symbol for artificial intelligence, it was a full-value chess opponent, just like a human. I think the song just toys with the idea of considering Deep Blue as a human or of comparing an inhibited person with a computer trying to be human. Of course a computer is unable to cope with feelings and if Deep Blue was human, he would act like the scared person in the lyrics, scared and overwhelmed by feelings, unable to smile an show feelings. | |

Instead of: "Feel, just obey" the lyrics are "Feel, trust, obey", I think. The meaning of the song for me is to critisise the power of the brainwashing media and especially the adververtising. There are answers for every question, but it ist not honest, because the intention ist not to help you, but to control you. |

| Sol Seppy – Enter One Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Perhaps it's about a kind of spirituality beyond religion, the feeling of connectivity and relationship to the whole world, that makes you feel secure and brave, no matter what's happening. (Or at least the ideal of such an attitude towards life, the singer is aiming at.) | |
| Tocotronic – Jackpot Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It's a beautiful lovesong about the love of two young outsiders, who don't want to belong to the majority. | |
| Anna Ternheim – Shoreline Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I don't know, if I get the meaning right, but it is a really sad song, no doubt. Perhaps it is about the end of childhood and what you lose by growing up in a cold, selfish society. | |

This is a great version of the song by Abba. The lyrics have been slightly changed. Instead of Abba's: "I must have read a while; the latest one by Marilyn French or something in that style" It's "Or maybe I read a while, The latest one by Declan Gunn or something in that style." And Abba goes: "There's not, I think, a single episode of Dallas that I didn't see" whereas it's here: "There cannot be a sitcom or a game show that I've never seen." The song describes a before-after-setting, but you only learn the before: an aimless, empty life, that is not even aware of its problems. But I'm not really sure, if the change will ever happen. |
