I don't actually think it has anything to do with Courtney or Cancer. I think it may be about a drug addiction, more likely Heroin. In the music video he is surrounded by poppies, which make Opium and is a key ingredient in Heroin. Also in the video there are loads of strange things happening, like hallucination and of course theres rocking in a chair, he just going back and forth like someone on too many drugs. But the lyrics really do say the same thing to me, e.g. part of chorus: (She eyes me like a Pisces when i am weak), sounds like somethings tempting him when hes at bad times in his life. The reason he uses Pisces i think is because Pisces are known for being dreamy and mysterious e.g. the effects of Heroin. (Ive been locked inside your heart shaped box for weeks), the heart shaped box symbolizes a coffin the reason for it being heart shaped is the love he has for the thing that put him in it. (Ive been drawn into you Magnet tar pit trap), explains that he is now addicted to the drug, calling it a Magnet tar pit trap. Magnet meaning the pull, Tar being the substance itself, the pit trap being the addiction, stuck in a deep pit and cant get out. (I wish i could eat your Cancer when you turn black), means that he wishes he could use the drug even after he has burnt it and it has turned black. Your Cancer, meaning the things about the drug that will kill him. He wishes he could eat it even though he knows it can kill him therefore showing suicidal tendency and dependency. Great interpretation by sTTacey. I would have to say that the one least in love is holding the sin (even though it may not be his fault; you can't make yourself love someone). There's a lot of innocence when a person is madly in love so I wouldn't say it's "her". Though if she's just loving him to hope that he might love her back it's s a bit like "sin", kinda like a guilt trip; I've seen guys keep saying "I love you" "I can't live without you" etc just to guilt trip the girl so she doesn't hurt him and just "shuts up" in a sense. I personally say love them even if they don't love you back, it's less complicated and there's a lot of truth in that love you have, unless there's something that triggered you to stop loving them; then fairdoos. Just my two cents. |

I truly have no idea really, I wanna see more people interpret this song. BRAVEHEART FTW XD aha, I loved that film, one of the films that made me really open up to the world. I just love this song, be ready to fight for your freedom, and if you don't want to fight, then just lay down and die because you've got no point in living without your freedom, I know that sounds harsh but just think about it, if you're gonna be controlled and can't do what you want to do, then why bother in life? I'm ready for such a thing and I'm glad P.O.D made a song about freedom, you don't see songs about freedom much. |

I do love how this song can be an awesome love song, I believed at first it was a love song then I noticed the line: "The earth, and the moon, and the sun will align, With a voice from the sky above". Then I thought it might be about God/Jesus/Whateveryouwanttobelievein. So why don't you come with me He's speaking to you; the listener. And take a trip to the other side? Heaven. Where you, you and I, we can sing, we can fly We can dance as the stars go by Self Explanatory, but I do love how they don't mention sex, too many songs these days that always mention banging some chick you just met. And if the heavens should open up With a vision inside 'Jah love I'm still confused with what 'Jah means, could anyone tell me? I'm not sure if it means "Ya" or "Jesus'" The earth, and the moon, and the sun will align Only a theory but I think people say this'll happen in 2012. With a voice from the sky above God/Jesus coming to help us...maybe? hell I can't see into the future. But the rest of the song is basically about joining him, AND SHINING! I love this song simply for the idea of shining together. The whole "one love" means one consciousness where we all join the infinite love, or you can relate it to god once more and say we all love one god or something (blatantly not a Christian). I know people can get very frustrated with the whole "Is there a god?" or "2012 is bullshit" thing and I know, I am sorry. It's just P.O.D are Christians and I want to keep an open mind and try and figure what the meaning of their songs are. I know the 2012 could be utter bullshit, but it's just a theory that I've believed in quite some time, I'm quite positive that something may happen, and if nothing happens, then shame on me and I'm sorry for being wrong ;P God I do hate thinking about these things ;P but hell, I'm bored and got nothing else to do. Ahh this song makes me feel slightly gloomy ;P It's just a song that seems to express how I felt in the young days. I always wanted answers as to why why why there were so many wars in the past, why everything felt so wrong. I personally feel really good when a band makes songs like this, it makes me feel like I'm not the only one with these thoughts and it makes me not forget about these thoughts either. We live in such a beautiful world and we destroy it with endless bombs ;P I just find it funny how we're at such a great time of human evolution and yet, everything is actually really corrupt. |

Ahh this song always makes me feel the way the world is. "False prophets claim to be the answer" Feels like he's talking about how the Antichrist will deceive people claiming he is Christ and people will believe it. "And you can see that all the people, they are dying." I feel like he's saying how the Mind of the people will be dying, not the Physical. E.g. you'll try and tell the people what's wrong with the whole Christ thing and they won't believe you. "Hear the rumors of war so blow us away" Some say there will be a world war 3, the way it will occur differs among various ideas but I'm quite certain there will be, dudes just saying end the pain imo, he can't stand the way the world is. I feel like this song isn't meant for today though, it's like P.O.D has released this song intended for sometime in the future. Hey maybe I'm totally wrong and I probably am. I just wanted to share my view. |

It's about rape imo, I instantly thought about rape when I heard the chorus. Tbh I think it's a father molesting his daughter, then she's grown up, told authorities about it and now he's shitting himself. I know most of that isn't even said but it just feels to make sense with this song. I just don't understand why frou would say it is right to get back at a bully.
