To me, it seems this song talks about how people are never content, even in contentment. "Beamin' " seems to be the state of having things go right... and Scottie is representing God. God gives us enough to make us happy, and we don't even realize it (having to ask, after it being stated that they were already "beamin' "), and even when we are at peace, we want more (coffee, internet)... |
