No, it's definately "cause you don't know" She means because they have no idea how she feels about them. The whole song is about how she feels for this person, but is also afraid of rejection (eg: "but only if you're a little bit in love with me") She doesn't know how to take the next step, to go from A to B. It can't be up to her because she's too scared. But then they don't know how she feels either so it's like a dead end. Wow I got really in to that. Ahah x |

I heard the original song, which is Lykke Li - Little bit and I wasn't so sure. I mean I love the lyrics for this song, they fit my situation right now so completely. But her original version was a tiny bit too cheerful and upbeat. Then I came across his remix of it, and it's got a slightly more atmospheric intro with the drum, and all of a sudden there was the whole different tone to the song, that isn't as upbeat, which I think suits the lyrics more. I ADORE this version, although I prefer the first half where he really easily jumps in and only changes a few of the lines and add in a short verse. You've all said the meanings. -happy sigh- just love it. |

They can occur for anyone who's experienced somethign terrible. Like soldiers who fought on the front line. My grandad fought in world war 2 and had night terrors after that. And my friends dad is over at the war now, and he came home for a week of rnr and had night terrors So I mean it could be the guy has gone through a lot in his life, and its caused all these problems, like in ghosts and my manic and me, if its the same one. Its about her going to a gig or concert because she heard the guy was meant to be a pretty good singer. Then when she hears one of his songs, she can empathise with it so acutely that she feels as if he knows exactly how she's feeling, what she's thinking and her entire situation. We've all been there. Felt as if a certain song was written about our own situation. This is a song about this happening to her - I heard it was when she heard American pie too, but yeah -shrugs- dnt know for definate. |

Apparently Haley said that this song was actually written for New Moon, but ended up being put on twilight soundtrack because it could be interpreted in loads of ways or some thing. I love this song, it's kinda different from a lot of their stuff. Especially love that last chorus and verse, when the guitars come back in with more force. Totally bella talking about jacob, though that God As My Witness bit confuses me a bit. |

Im gonna go out on a limb with this; But I've had the fallen album for years now, and was going through all my cds when i foun dit again and felt like a good listen. At the time I was reading the Twilight series, and all of a sudden when listening to this song i started fitting the lines with parts of the story: "I'm so tired of being here" and "Cause you prescence still lingers here, and it wont leave me alone" I thought this linked to when Edwards gone in New Moon, and Bellas all depressed and heartbroken over it and just stops living properly because when he left he took the life from her effectively. also how when she did dangerous things like ride a motorcycle and jump off a cliff, she'd hear his voice telling her to stop being so stupid because she promised him she wouldnt do anything that might hurt her. "these wounds won't seem to heal this pain is just too real there's just too much that time cannot erase" Again how Edward leaves, and months and months later she's still not over it, time hasnt healed her heart. "you used to captivate me by your resonating light now i'm bound by the life you left behind" the book always makes a big deal about how amazingly gorgeous edward was, and how bella was fascinated by him. and now She can't get over how he's gone, and is still deeply in love with him. "your face, it haunts my once pleasant dreams" When she dreams its basically of him, but its not pleasant because she knows all through the dream that as soon as she wakes up all the pain will come rushing back because really they arent together anymore. "your voice, it's chased away all the sanity in me" When she started hearing his voice everytime she did somethign dangerous, she 'lost her sanity' and started doing crazier and crazier things just so she'd hear his voice again and again. "but you still have...all of me" Even though she loves Jacob, really all her heart belongs to Edward. Yeah..I know i sound like another annoying Twilight fan freak. But ahwell, just wanted to put forward that idea of how the song links to the books in some ways. But forgetting Twilight, I genuinely love this song anyway, and the emotion amy lee puts into it. Her voice literally is perfect - she can reach both the highest and lowest notes, and be proper powerful when singing. I saw a comment someone said who said charlotte church was like her? OMG im sorry but no. I dont care that she's british like me, she has ruined her voice with fags and drink. So now although she can hit the high notes still, her voice is nowhere near as rich or powerful as amylees |

Well I'd read the twilight series like 5 times when id heard the movie was coming out. Paramore wrote this song a like, another (maybe more than one? dont know yet) actually FOR the film. To be honest, I love those books to death - although i dont agree when people are all "the new harry potter", because they're completely different. Ones about wizards at bording school, and the others about falling in love with a vampire :| so yeah but i think these lyrics go well with the book the bit where she goes "Not ever gonna own whats mine, when you're always taking sides" i thought was about how edward cant make up his mind over whether they should be together or not, and so she feels like shes never gonna have him because he's always changing and one minute against the idea because its too dangerous, the next all for it, and so forth. cant wait for the film - i know ill probably be sitting there critising it the whole time because i know the books so well (and because i think they could have found better actors for the parts) but ahwell. Ill enjoy it anyway just because ;) |

"Sweat from one night Is more than you can take Only one fight to avoid your life's Biggest mistake" She cheated on her boyfriend with the guy singing, and keeps reliving when they had sex. And the fight is to either not tell her boyfriend, or stop herself from sleeping with the singer again. "Just keep telling yourself You're worth more than you think (Than you think of me)" Here he's comforting her, trying to make her feel better about what she did/is doing. "I've got two pennies on all your thoughts, and your True winning has been here all along" He's telling her he knows what she's thinking, and that really he's the perfect guy for her, not her boyfriend. "She said I'LL SHOW YOU MINE IF YOU SHOW ME YOURS" She's joking with him, probably hiding her real feelings. "Just take her hand. Have fun leading her through All the wrong doors" The singer's saying this to the boyfriend. ONce again meaning about how he thinks HE is the right guy for her, and that the boyfriend would only be 'leading her through all the wrong doors'. "Open up wide Your throat with more than words Sweat from one night Is more than you can take Only one fight to avoid your life's Biggest mistake" On this bit, I originally thought he was singing "Open up wide, you're THRILLED with more than words" but, er, obviously I was wrong there. Its basically the same as before, but with a reference to sex thrown in for good measure. "Sweat from one night (He'll make sure to coat) Your throat with more than words Only one fight (from his body to yours)" The singers talking about her having sex with her boyfriend this time. "Cuz my heart Only hanging by a vein is still more than you can break" The singer is saying how although its badly hurting him, he's still not gonna let her break his heart. How he's stronger than that. "(From now to forever) More than you can break (I promise you we'll never) (We'll never be together)" He's telling her how they'll never be together, because she chose the other guy, not him. Pretty self-explanatory. "Just keep telling yourself Just keep telling yourself You're worth more. (Than you think of me....)" Again, he's reassuring her that she's better than him, but also that she's worth more than either of them. That she deserves better. I absolutely adore this song, and Mozart Season in general, and was double-checking some lyrics when i came across this site. Then after reading the comment before mine thought i might aswell put forward my take on this song; That this girl cheated on her boyfriend with the singer, feels really really guilty about it, and ashamed, and is staying with her boyfriend for all the wrong reasons, and broke the singers heart by choosing her boyfriend over him. |
