| Tegan and Sara – Back in Your Head Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| For me, this song is about the troubles and hardships of living a life of polygamy (that is, having more than one sexual or intimate partner). "I'm not unfaithful but I'll stray" says to me that I do want to spend time with you and you mean a lot to me but I won't limit myself to one romantic partner. The lines "When I jerk away from holding hands with you I know these habits hurt important parts of you" is a line I feel that I can relate with. Because I am a polygamous person, one of my partners has pushed me away or kept from showing public displays of affection because she's got her eye on someone else at the party. It may hurt for those few moments but in the end I still know I mean a lot to her, and some time soon we'll have another kinky night together with whip cream and bondage tape! HA HA HA! Less of an interpretation and more of a self expression. =P | |

| I Hate Myself – Roy Sullivan, By Lightning Loved Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| First I'd like to say thank you for doing your best here on these lyrics. I love this band and I love this song. I think you did a really good job figuring out these lyrics. The only difference or trouble i run into with this song is the line "through this mud". It almost sounds like he says "smooth" instead of "through" but I'm really not sure. I can't really make it out. | |
| Owen – Good Friends Bad Habits Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| LYRIC CORRECTION! And this one is important too! "and how did I get here WITH ONE SHOE" That part makes me laugh... I've been there... Love this song, I'm a good friend but I have some bad habits. | |

| Cap'n Jazz – In The Clear Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
"...who attempt to sound intellectually advantaged through a constant use of heavy description and alliteration." Could the same be said about you? I'd bet my life you don't use this kind of diction when speaking to people whom you don't feel you have to impress. P.S. Please get a better definition of emo. Its genre of music not a type of person. |

Correction: "The Via Dolorosa is a street in the Old City of Jerusalem that makes the path Jesus SUPPOSEDLY walked on the way to his SUPPOSED crucifixion." P.S. Fuck you. |

| The Khayembii Communique – The Death Of An Aspiring Icon Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Truely brilliant... I love the intro and outro of this song... This is the first song I heard by them, as a matter of fact, its the first emo/screamo song I liked. That was 3 years ago. This band still means so much to me. I think the lyrics are pretty straigh forward, just read the title. | |
| Mineral – Dolorosa Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Okay, every single fucking person, regardless of religious affiliation, has their right to believe what any song means. So fuck anyone here who is telling me what this song is about. Its okay if you want to say "I think this song is about Jesus" but when you say "this song is about Jesus, how can it not be?" that's when I get pissed off. Open your god damn (that's right I used the lords name in vane) single minded eyes! Song meanings are not factual, its all oppinionated. That's fine if you are religious and find this song religious, but know that there are other people in this world who do not believe in god (me). Anyway, I love Mineral. I don't belibe in god, and I find no religious meanings in all of their songs regardless of what some people want me to believe. Yes I can see how some may see their songs as religious, there are obvious hints and shit, but personaly, I find deeper meanings than god in their songs (JUST MY OPPINION). When I first read these lyrics I definately didn't think it had anything to do with Jesus... Its all how you precieve it... And lagwagon182, you're right. Jesus isn't comming back... =) |

| The Khayembii Communique – A Year And An Ocean Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Absolutely beautiful. In english class junior year, we had an assignment to bring in a song and the lyrics and say why this song relates to us. I picked this song. No one really liked it musically, but I didn't expect them to. These lyrics couldn't capture how I felt any better at that point in my life. Once again absolutely beautiful. |

| I Hate Myself – Song For All The Young Casanovas And Casanovettes Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This is to DarkWolf112: Personally, I hate what hardcore has become. Hardcore used to have a much more meaningfull message. Bands used to pour their heart and soul into their work, but now a'days kids just go to shows so they can hardcore dance and impress their friends with the play lists they have on their I-pods. Today hardcore is about being able to kick another person's ass and I believe that its sad that something that used to be so intimate has turned to shit. Emocore is dead. And if you walk up to any kid who goes to shows every weekend and ask them who their favorite emo band is they will not give you a name of an emo band. And about this song, there are times in out lives when we do feel discouraged and do feel remorse for the pain we have gone through. It's healthy for us as human beings to aknowlage that we are hurt. I have turned to IHM many times when I'm feeling down and some of these songs have helped me better understand myself. Our oppinions change as time elapses, and our experiences alter how we feel about certain things. At times it is okay to feel the way the artist does in this song as long as you pick yourself up and move on after. We should learn from these hardships. I do understand that IHM was a joke band to some extent and that they did not fully take themselves seriously, but these topics are very serious topics. So go ahead, take this band as a joke, but to me, many of these songs are very real. This is not to say that I am never happy, in fact I consider myself a very optomistic person, but I do have my moments of being depressed. |

| Ache:emelie – I am Sisyphus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Such a damn good song!!! Any way, I had no idea who Sisyphus was, so I looked into it. Apparently he is a king in Greek Mythology who was sentinced to carry a boulder up a hill only to watch it roll back down the hill. He was to repeat this act for eternity (it was his punishment). So a Sisyphus task is a meaningless, repetitive, and unrewarding task that serves no real purpose. What connections can be made with Sisyphus and the song? Its open to interpritation. I'd love to hear your thoughs about what this song means (not just how good this band is, we already know that's why we are looking up their lyrics!). Once again I got most of this information from wikipedia and do not feel comfortable taking credit for these findings. |

| Toru Okada – the second floor Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
These lyrics seemed lonely so I'm going to add a comment. I think the meaning of this song is very apparent. Last summer I was dating a girl, she was my first. And honestly, I will never forget her room. I spent almost every day of summer there. She introduced me to bands that always reminder me of her to this day, and there is a click of friends that she introduced me that will always remain in my memory. If I live to be one hundred, I'll never forget Julia and the highs and lows she dragged me through... |

| Toru Okada – long questions Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Really guys? No one is commenting this song? I think its amazing... Well most of their songs are. I feel as though I can relate to this. It seems as though the artist and someone he was once close with (probably a romance) is now living else where and their relationship/friendship is whithering. He is afriad to say and express himself because it may make things more awkward, his self exressions won't mean as much as they could have ment when they were close. This is just my interpretation of the song. I'd love to read what you have to say! Don't be shy, leave a comment! |

| City of Caterpillar – A Heart Filled Reaction To Dissatisfaction Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I like your perspective MabTreet, but when I first heard this song and read the lyrics, I pictured a different senerio in my mind. It seems, to me at least, that this song is about a break up and how the person the singer was with still wants to be friends. But he does not want to spend too much time with this person because it hurts to be reminded of an ended relationship. "Hello, i'd like for us to talk but right now is not such a great time. Maybe when it's more convenient for me and i get something out of it. We'll start off slow, maybe rides to work, that's all i can take for NOW." But at the same time, I went through a rough break up just before hearing this song so that could be why I linked this song it a break up. |

| Saetia – The Sweetness And The Light Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
removeyourteeth, that was beautifully worded. I could not have done a better job myself. "We've painted, carved, and read, to our peers, children, and lovers our works over the years, but still, we haven't realized that the comfort of a greater being just lies in our own words." Thank you for your input. It has made this song mean a lot more to me. |

| The Khayembii Communique – AM1200 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Lets see, what can I say about this song? I honestly believe that this song cannot be described in any form of the english language. This song has ment so much to me these past years. I have listened to this band for about four years now and the feeling that i get when the vocalist screams "Those moments will stay where they lay" hasn't faded yet. A truely amazing band, what I would give to see this band! It's too bad emocore is dead. =( |

| City of Caterpillar – And You're Wondering How A Top Floor Could Replace Heaven Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Holly shit! The ending makes me want to show this song to the world. I can only pitty those who cannot respect and understand the beauty of emocore. "If it was air tight: I know you'd choke." One of the many powerful lines in this song. |

| Saetia – Venus And Bacchus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Oh and by the way, I happen to like After School Knife Fight, and Saetia is one of their influences, so it is very logical to talk about both bands. And Saetia is so much better and so much more emotional than Hot Cross and Off Minor. Between Saetia's breakdowns and climaxes, there are few bands that can be compared with them. And I fifth that orgasm! |
|
| Saetia – Venus And Bacchus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeah, I would have to agrea, this band is so damn good! I do love the high pitch scream. Saetia has one of my favorite screams, but I think my favortie has to be The Khayembii Communique's scream. Not only does The Khayembii Communique have a really good scream, but their lyrics might be just as good as Saetia's. But I love this band very much, and I will most definately buy their CD. | |
| I Hate Myself – To A Husband At War Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Oh my GAWD... Such a good song. But I KNEW, but I KNOW that it was a lie I tried to laugh But I went back to MY room and cried I mean OUR room I went back to OUR room and cried Its amazing how a simple change in word tence can reveal so much. This band had such good rhetoric. |

| Saetia – The Burden Of Reflecting Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Yeah really, thank you fuckthepainawayxo, your explaination helped me a lot. Wonderful song. I always want to share this type of music with my friends, but they allways dislike it. Screamo is hard to like, at first I hated hardcore, but once you familiarize yourself with a good hardcore song, YOU CAN'T GET OVER HOW GOD DAMN GOOD IT IS! ITS LIKE A DAMN EAR ORGASM! |
