i think its about someone who is in some situation (probably a relationship?) and this person is totally smothering them and being controlling. its unhealthy, and he wants to get out but hes still being to passive and under the persons control, maybe looking for their approval? but yeah thats why hes saying if you wouldnt mind, then id like to get out of here. then hes asking did you really even care about me ever, or have you been you using me? (is there another reason for your stain?) i dont get the other two lines, Could you believe who we knew was stress or strain? Here is another word that rhymes with shame. whatdaya think? |

yay! first comment!!!! is this about a relationship where neither person, or, just he doesnt have his heart in it? maybe a superficial one night stand if that makes sense. either way, maybe the couple got pregnant. | k, even though people might think this songs a little about drugs, what with the high and bloodshot eyes lyrics, i dont think thats what it is. The hills still left to climb, its just so high. i think its about growing up and how hard it can be. like, you know, going over the hill..getting older. OR, it can be about any sort of challenge in life, like maybe a depressed woman, a traumatized mannn. tell me whatya think!!! i love this song!!! | |

T Cap i like the first half better. :] I think this song is about anyone who was some how dependent on two other people's relationship, or felt deeply effected by it, and the confusion you can have when it ends. like, a child with divorced parents. but if dave said it goes out to courtney, that too makes sense! |
