| The Beach Boys – I Just Wasn't Made For These Times Lyrics

I hate my generation, this song really means a lot to me, because if I had a choice, I would rather be somewhere between the 50'-80's. Anywhere but today, today's generation and culture is total rubbish. And nearly everything about me, especially my tastes in just about everything, screams man out of time. |

Oh my god, this is weird, I've been talking to this girl lately, really trying hard to get with her, but this song kinda woke me up, you know? Like an epiphany. I think I'm gonna take it slower, yep, I officially live my life according to Beach Boys songs |

| Gnarls Barkley – Who's Gonna Save My Soul Lyrics

If this was written after James Brown's passing, and Cee-Lo/Danger Mouse looked up to him, maybe it's just about the loss of a legend. After all, Brown is the king of soul so maybe the song is about how he was imitated by many other soul artists and how Gnarls is questioning where the soul genre will go without James' presence. |

| Gnarls Barkley – Who Cares? Lyrics

I believe that this is about dealing with love, loss, and the complexities of one's life and mind. About how, everyone just wants to fit in so badly that, eventually, they are no longer themselves, and about how this person could bitch and moan forever about how hard life is and about all he's lost but, there's nothing he could do about it, so who cares, let's just move on. |

I think that this is about how a person may have different groups of people that he knows, and with every group he is a different person, but never himself. It could even be that to be around people he admires he had to do drugs to fit in and is now hooked. So he looks upon this and feels foolish because, despite the high he gets, the drugs make him feel terrible, because that's not him, he did it to fit in and can't stop, and feels stupid and lonely. |

| Gnarls Barkley – Crazy Lyrics

I think that if all of Gnarls Barkley's songs were to be put in chronological order, Crazy would be last. Possibly about an old man looking back upon all that he's lost and dealt with,(drugs, mental illness, death, suicide), and how crazy he used to be. So now, as he looks back, he's made peace with his craziness, and depression, and such, Yet he wonders, did all I went through make me crazy, or was that just life, was my life normal, or, truly, Crazy? |
