I Love the beginning of this song, the ticking clock, the wailing, distorted guitar softly in the background, it's perfect thinking/driving music. I think the lyrics in this song are about a guy who loves and wants a girl who doubts herself (Your doubt, it leaves me sore, You want them to choose you You might be empty The way your eyes just look right through) Possibly when she could be or is something great (Where you going? Where you been? Making wishes, watching dreams? I could almost see your face tonight Singin' simple rhythm and blues You'll always be a star Shake it baby! C'mon, scream! Did I see your face in a magazine?) I think maybe his faith and love for her causes her to doubt herself even more (What's real? What's true? I ain't turning my back on you I don't believe you Now I can't hear a word you say) I think that this difference of opinion is probably what split them (Your life and my life, they don't touch at all And that's no way to be You've never seemed so far It's such a mess now anyway I can't stand it anymore) And Maybe, now he realises what he lost, he just wants this girl to be happy with herself (I see your wishes on the wall And that's alright with me It's my favorite shot of you You looked so pretty, your eyes were true I'm still on your side in spite of everything you do Come wish beside me Don't you know you know what's right?) Otherwise I'd agree with the Stalker/obsessive theory which is a shame, as this song doesn't sound creepy or dark at all :) |

I think this song is about a teenager moving out of his home. "So I just stare At the stain on the wall Where The TV'd been But ever since We've moved in it's been empty" I think he's moved into his new place but hes found himself in his old room looking at the spot where his tv used to be. "Why I Why I'm in this room There is no point explaining" He has no reason to be in his old room but he finds himslef there anyway. "You're not the boss of me now You're not the boss of me now and you're not so big" Because he's moved out his parents cant control him like they did. "Yes, no, maybe I don't know Can you repeat the question?" Maybe arguments or comebacks he used to use when he was at home. (I also think its better "Yes, no, maybe I don't know, Can you repeat the question?") "Life is a test" He's finding living on his own hard, "life is unfair" because he didnt like his parents controlling him when he was at home but he's finding living by himself hard. "And I confess I like this mess I've made so far Grade on a curve" He's probably never done to well in school or been some sort of tearaway although he's proud and not to bothered by it. Maybe he's in university and finding it hard being away from home and his grade is failing. Overall its an awesome song whatever way you look at it, Thank god for Malcolm in the middle. |

"While I'm young and while I'm able all I wanna do is..." I always thought that the word faded off/not included is f*ck |

| Descendents – Suburban Home Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I prefer the original Descendents version of this song anyday, only thing I liked about the Taking Back Sunday version is that it was Suburban Home and I Like Food in one song, did Descendents ever do this? | |
| NOFX – Memories Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think this song is about a guy liking a girl, the girl didn't feel the same which ruined the friendship they had (Oh, Can't comprehend). So their friendship broke down (just another friend) and this guy is thinking about the memories he had before it all went wrong (all the memories) but these memories remind him of what he lost (I don't want to think about it anymore) then this girl comes back into his life (she's coming back) which he doesnt like because he knows he'll fall for her again (I wanna reject, damn But I know I can't) he knows he won't get over her. (I never well) |
