ok first of all im sick and tired of hearin people saying that they are sellouts. as shown by the lyrics in this song they thought about the consequences of signing with Fat. they knew that they would be called sellouts. they knew they would lose fans. they did this to spread their message to a whole new group of people. do you think that if they put something like Baby I'm An Anarchist on the radio that most people would listen to the song and learn the message that it exemplifies? no most people would change the station. they changed thier sound so that people would listen to them and look them up and look at thier older stuff. how much do you want to bet that their next album is less pop and more punk. a large majority of people would have never heard of against me! had it not been for new wave. this was their way of introducing themselves to the world. so its not the anarchist anthems that you want but maybe they wanted to try to get a larger audience. these new songs do that. if not for this album a large majority of thier new fans would have never been introduced to the genius of against me! and i know that im not the only person that thinks this. |

i think its about a guy who spends his life helping people with their problems and listening to what they have to say and even though he is always their solution he doesnt get any praise and when he needs help everyone is "on vacation" |
