i think this song is about a person finally letting go of his childhood or his innocence, w.e.. but just when he thinks he's "adult" enough to do so, he realizes he's not ready and he wants it back, but it's too late. the funeral is for his childhood..ness... and it seems that also in this song that there is a love of some sort... perhaps the lover is part of the reason y he's letting go of his child hood. he/she is making him realize that he needs to let go. and also the fact that he is saying "I'd die for you"...ya.. idk, it seems to go from a love story to a childhood-letting-go-thing then back a lot |

i believe that this song was written to kind of give u hope if it's a bad time in ur life right now. cuz later on when ur old you'll always remember this time of ur life, whether it was bcuz u were in a bad spot or if it was one of the best times of ur life, u'll remember it just for that reason.
