i know that someone said this years ago but to the person saying that john didn't want bad publicity for lucy in the sky with diamonds is wrong. because they clearly admit to certain other songs being about lsd and tripping such as day tripper. they didn't care about the publicity of that song. it really is written about the drawing. anyways, i love this song. peace |

This is probably my favorite copeland song. However i found out that it isn't about a girl. It's about the singer's grandma dying in the hospital. The whole album is. But it works pretty well when you think of it for a girl :) |

Yes this song is very powerful. I talked to Travis after a show and yes this song is about a very close friend of his commiting suicide. He wrote it in a church and they never really played it. He played it for me and a few others out in the parking lot...it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. |
