I interpret this song as a relationship of two people where it's not going so well. They suspect things about each other but they never communicate. I do think that the end of the song is where the guy in the relationship meets someone new while waiting with a mars bar for the girl. At the end with "Do you like Sweet potato?" I always interpeted that was the stranger he walked into the sunset with asked when they first met. But!! I can see how some people think it's about the one relationship! |

I think this song is about a guy/girl who she wants love from but he's not giving it to her. He just uses her for his own personal agenda. "You say don't be blue, Is that the best you can do ?" The guy/girl doesn't know how she's feeling and saying stupid things that would make her angry. |
