i saw an interview where alex talked about the meaning of it. it's about something that happened with alex and a girl. it about a girl alex met at a show and hooked up with, and alex saying things to her he really didn't mean, making her believe it was more than just a hook up. he felt bad about it and wrote a song. |

I think most of the song is about his mom. At first I thought it was about a girl, because of the 'made the back our bedroom part' but it makes sense if you think of it as living in a car, and not banging in a car. And then I think this part: I love you, but I'm not sure That I really want to touch you But I will only if you ask me to Yeah, you'll never be that for me Yeah, you'll never be that for me He could now be talking about a girl, and referring to how he was used to how his mother was with him, and he's scared to get close to a girl because of that. But yeah. just guessing. |
