I remember them explaining it in an interview, that the KING stands for the positive, good things in life, and the QUEEN represents the evil stuff (in general, no sexist opinions involved! Haha)
So I supposed i'm taking this literally by thinking that the song is talking about someone who chose to be positive, and is waiting for someone (or people in general) to make their decision.
I can't seem to make up my mind about the first verses though, about who "she" is when it goes "He thought the hours turned to minutes when she smiled." Is it a girl that's a source of positivity in his life? Or is the the 'Queen' making time go by too quick?

i just wanted to say that "in all this chaos, we found safety" is my favorite quote of all time. it is the most beautiful and the simplest description of love i've ever heard, and i plan on getting it as a tattoo once i am married.
