| I think she's writing about the objectification of women. Men (maybe women too) will like her because of her looks, but they didn't care to think about her feelings. It's like the song is mocking the perverts asking them "is she pretty from the back?" Like how men will have sex with a girl because she is pretty, use her until they are bored, then throw her away for the next thing. Of course when the girl gets mad for being used, she is then called 'crazy' and is no longer considered pretty by them. Sad song. | |

| With the ending "shoot myself up with a speed ball and DIE" I don't think he is condoning suicide, he's saying that the option of choosing life or death is always there. Nothing good will ever be easy, so no use complaining about it. If you have a shitty life, it's no one's fault but your own... so to make things right, you have to take responsibility and put in the effort. | |

The guy is single, but happy with it. His other friends are stuck in relationships but he's free and beds whoever he wants even if they're already taken. He doesn't see himself as a home wrecker because he gives the girls what their partners can't--listening and maybe better sex. The lyric "and if you see in to the future be so kind as not to tell me what you find out there" shows a slight dark side to the song, because though he is single and can have it all, the girls who like him can't have all of him....he won't be a boyfriend because there's too many girls to share himself with. Basically about sexual freedom, though some people would call that bein a whore! |

It's about how you can't ever really trust anyone, except yourself. The only one who will always be there in the end is just yourself. Cause shit happens, and even if someone loves you, things get in the way where they won't always be there. "When the storm arrives Would you be seen with me By the merciless eyes of deceit" *movie spolier* I interpreted that as Bond's view on Vesper's death. She basically killed herself and left him all alone. Right after decieving him, and making him think he could trust her totally. Even if the bad guys wouldn't have left them alone if she was alive, she still coulda tried for him. |

Oh and as alsosprachich said: "If that assumption is correct, it would seme that someone is testing meat, and eating plastic, instead of the doing the opposite (right) way." Before, I hadn't thought of 'doll steak' as an actual item for a doll. A piece of plastic. Lol, I thought it meant what I said before. So now the 'doll steak' part which relates to eating plastic, makes me think of consumerism and credit cards. The 'doll steak' could be a person who's a gold digger. "We feed off of each other. We can share our endorphins. Doll steak! Test meat!" So "Test meat" could symbolize a person too. In an ideal relationship, people use and are used equally, and at first they were that way. But then the 'doll steak' person, instead of feeding off each other, on the meat, started feeding off the other persons money and fame. So that person became a test meat to them. They stopped caring about him as a person. They see him as something expendable and there to be taken advantage of. A piece of meat is something people use. The 'test' part means they probably played mind games with him as well and tested his will to see how much of it he'd take. OH BTW, this meaning does not necessarily apply to Courtney and Kurt. I think it's about the media or just anyone in general taking advantage of someone. And sorry for posting so much on those words. I just wanted to figure out what it meant. |

I think "doll steak" refers to that people try pretty themselves up to look really good, but in the end you're just a piece of meat, just a lump of flesh. When you're dead you're just blood and guts. Like that quote, some people "die young and leave a pretty corpse". and if you look like a yummy steak, people are going to eat you. which means that if you set out to make yourself better, someones going to try to bring you down, out of jealousy or spite. |
