I cannot believe that nobody has commented on this song yet... it is sooo such, especially the vocorder (or whatever) part in the middle.
This is my favorite song off Heads Up. I put it on a mixtape for my ex.
I think we all know that this song means that his girlfriend loves him too much, and he needs space and she doesn't get it, refferig to "I don't think that you understand The things we say are not always the things we feel" So they broke up and he's hoping someday she'll understand that.
It seems that this person (sounds like a guy) had someone who liked him a lot, but he didn't like them back like that. He probably said cute things, but they didn't hold much weight, to himself at least. But the person who liked him, took his words too seriously. Then when he told that her, he didn't like her, she got mad at him, thinking that he'd led her on, or was playing with her emotions
And now he lost a friend, and gained a new enemy, because he was careless with what he said ^^
I really enjoy this song. Its him basically apologizing for being a dick.
