Satakieli you're right, but the literal translation goes quite well with the english flow ^^ The meaning is the same in english and in french. Thomas Youngblood Jr. (the guitarist) wrote this song for his father, who died. But there's some mistakes, for example: Chanson **aux mémoires**, chanson à l'oubli sans adieux tu partais tout mes efforts pour te rendre si fière jamais tu ne les voyais" **In french "mémoire" = "the memory" and "the memories" = "les souvenirs" **.
