Was listening to this today for the first time in a while and I thought how nice it was that she was singing a "round" song about wanting someone to come back "around".
And in the round part at the end it made me think about this person who left having done so many times and the round is symbolic of her sadness being reoccuring. |

I love this song so much. I think it's obviously about someone knowing that they can follow their dreams and do whatever they want to do.
If you listen to her intro of this song on YouTube, she talks about her being a fairy who comes into a little girl's room and sings this song to her, so you can kind of get a more clear picture of what she might have been feeling when she wrote this. Maybe she wrote it for all the little girls in the world who don't know if they can hold onto their dreams and overcome gender obstacles. They should hold onto their innocence and faith. |

This song makes me think of the graduating seniors that I really got to know in band, and in that way it makes me sad.
But I love this song sooo much. Like most of the songs that Regina sings, the lyrics are simple, but they're so deep and she just brings something to them that makes them come alive.
Sometimes I think it's a love song and sometimes I think it's a song about life and living, but whatever it is, it's terrific. |

To me this is a song about someone who has kept away from love for so long in a strict self-disciplined way who has finally met someone that she can't resist. And she hates it and loves it at the same time. |

I definately think this song is about someone being in love with someone who does not love her back.
the "black and blue" that some people see as domestic violence, I see as a reference to the "every color goes where you do" line. He's happily in love probably with someone who loves him back so the colors follow him, but in her sadness, she is only black and blue. |
