Chevelle – Still Running Lyrics | 12 years ago |
It looks like I have a different point of view from every posted comment here. This is my first time listening to the song (it's a really good one). In the beginning "DISCLAIMER," Pete says how we should have HOPE for a day where what we say are things that cause change to occur. So.. "SAY IT," to me, means to say what's on your mind, instead of "STILL RUNNING" away from your problems (aka holding your tongue) What do you people think? I realize its been a few years since the last comment tho lol. |

what an amazing song from the august rush soundtrack the singer has a love on his mind that he cant stop thinking of. they've separated against their will and he regrets sitting around "watching life pass from the sidelines", knowing that she is still out there. he longs to dream about her or to have anything to remind him of her, and he even considers leaving everything in order to find her again. but he questions if he should because he worries about the wind being at his back, or pushing him away from his life that he has now. the main dilemma is that he is stuck in love and doesn't know what to do about it. |

wow. amazing song. im glad i found this website "Frown out your one face but with the other you Stare like a junkie into the t.v. Stare like a zombie" these lyrics seem to depict the TWO-FACED PEOPLE who sit in front of tv and watch tragedy occur to people on tv and on the news. these tv watchers think they are better off than the people on tv, yet they waste their own lives staring like a "zombie" into the tv. aint that some shit? the message: people need to start living their own damn lives! and stop worrying about wat happens to others! |

10 Years – All Your Lies Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The first verse is about commiting the sin of lust and, being aware of the consequences for their evil, still life their live in such a careless manner. Trading "a pound of flesh for paradise" means sacrificing eternity in Heaven for a short burst of excitement demanded by instant gratification. People sometimes live two lives; they are two-faced. When the song says "the actions of your life contradict your words," it probably means that people are influenced to live in such a way that does not reflect who they truly are. In short, I believe this song is about those who are tempted into sin. They become careless of their wrongdoing because of the pleasure it gives them. However, there is a price to pay for living the wrong way. |
10 Years – Dying Youth Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think this is a very simple theme to this song. A couple or two people get in an argument. "The words of your tongue blister like fire." The couple/people become separated and one person is in depression. He/she longs to be young again to experience the days they shared together. The "dying days of my youth" are memories that continuously fill the person's head. This song is about a broken heart. |
10 Years – Actions and Motives Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think this song tells about how people are deceitful. "The fact you did it And don’t admit" "So justify the reason to kill, that you will Fooling no one but your self" However, the song states that fate will "find you wicked and turn you victim for everything you have done." The song mainly emphasizes the wrongdoings of being deceitful in the way that the song mentions how a person's actions and motives "bear the cross, wear the crown." This was Jesus's "punishment" and I think that, in the song, it tells how some of peoples' actions and motives make them corrupt and mischievous. |
