| Emilie Autumn – Ghost (Poem) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I've read a few good points and the line that sticks out to me is "You know i'll take the credit 'cause I must've made you come to me somehow" I think there is an actual ghost. If it was a dead lover why "How many centuries since you've climbed a balcony, or do you do this every night..." So I think it's a real ghost. So yes, and i don't believe seeing ghosts makes you insane. Thank you, Emilie |

RElying on photographic memory... To gain comfort in the absence? trying to visualize him when he's gone? Perhaps deceased? No easier than the first time... First time she tried to imagine him back? First time she had to let go? Falling is another way of flying? I like it... I LOVE these, Emilie |

Good interpretation, Matt. I think this is definitely along those lines. Emilie is saying that this "man" is above her and she yields to his ideas, but I feel that she is using this as a kind of way of telling him that he's wrong and she's done worrying about him. That's what i get from the jazzy, stylistic sound of the song. Perhaps I'm wrong and this is almost fit for the Opheliac album, which sets a new tone entirely |

| Emilie Autumn – Second Hand Faith Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think it's talking about religion. How people will believe almost anything in order to give them something in return. It's almost like mockery with the way she "needs" second hand faith. She saying she "needs" someone to come by with a story and give her something to believe in. | |
| Emilie Autumn – Marry Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I believe this song is quite similar to "Thank God I'm Pretty" in showing the naiveity of our state of mind It was once said by a famous philosopher that what you lose in innocence, you gain in wisdom. This, I believe, is a perfect example of a gain in wisdom due to a loss of innocence. It is, however, portrayed in a grotesquely comical sort of way, showing, once again, Emilie's undenyable talent and creativity. XD love ya emilie |
