this is perfect. honestly, it's so real. love isn't perfect. sometimes you wonder whether or not the other person is still in it with you, and sometimes, hey, they're not. but if it's really love, they'll come back. staying in love is one of the toughest things! "the fear you won't fall" - exactly. i know what it feels like. but when it's strong enough, you realize why you're together, and that's the beauty of it. |

this song means so much. it connects with me, and i'm sure a bajillion other people who've been in the situation. the situation where you love someone, but that it can't work, and you can't force it to work. and maybe it's even gotten tot he point where it's bad for you, and you know you have to get out of it. it's so hard, but you know it's right. you don't want to have to admit it and leave, but you have to. and sometimes the best thing is "pretending like i never really knew you," because then you block out the feelings and the memories. it's one of the most painful realizations, but it happens. |

this song is so beautiful. it could really be about a lot of things. i love the line "So you're the one who took the fall/ and it's bringing us together" It could be about a relationship, and like one of them needs to change because for whatever reason it's not working the way things are. So when they "take the fall" they finally make the change to make things work, which brings them together. it's painful probably, and really hard, but it is what saves them |

i'm getting that this guy really loved this girl, and for whatever reason, she had to leave and he couldn't go with her [you stop and turn and grab your bags]. and really she was his everything, so he's looking for meaning, you know, why this is happening to him, asking god for the answers. and in the end he's singing to god about how he's so scared. and in the "love me to the death" part i think he's going back to the girl and how he'll love her or vice versa no matter what, and they'll "meet again" someday, if not here then maybe in heaven. something like that :] it's such a beautiful song, the perfect way to end this album. |
