| The Spill Canvas – This Is For Keeps Lyrics | 17 years ago |

It's about time people started mentioning Twilight! That was the first thing I thought about when I heard this song the first time. Interestingly enough, though, this album was released a month before Twilight was published, so the band wasn't really thinking about Twilight when they wrote this song. |

| I think this song is about how we are living in a look-obsessed culture where T.V. and movies focus importance on beauty, rather than wisdom. I especially like the line "silicone and stars collide," which expresses a double meaning ("stars" as in celebrities and "silicone" as in plastic surgery). | |

This song is great, although the ending scares the crap out of me. The lyrics remind me of the song "Unknown Soldier" by Breaking Benjamin. The lyrics to the chorus are "Show me what it's like / To dream in black and white." In this song, the lyrics are "Your picture trends in black and white / I will show you what it's like." |

| This is an awesome song--one of their best. As for the meaning, the one that occured to me the first time I heard it was jc6md's explanation. | |

I can't believe this song has so few comments...it's one of my favorites. It reminds me of a story I'm writing...but then again, almost every song does. It's about losing faith in the people you trust. It seems like she's been betrayed, and now she doesn't know herself anymore because everything that she believed in turned out to be a lie. |

This is an amazing song, so I thought I would post up my own thoughts. I am a writer and (I know I just posted this up for an Evanescence song) this song really helped me complete one of my stories. In the story, a character makes a series of bad choices and ends up with a voice inside of her head. The voice is originally seen as her conscience, but it soon becomes apparent that the voice is something much darker, as it keeps convincing her to do terrible things. I used this voice as a metaphor, to show the choices that we make everyday in our lives. There are no right or wrong choices--there are consequences for every choice you make--but sometimes it may seem that way. These choices are what this song means to me. She (the singer) has made choices in her life that she isn't proud of, and is afraid that a darker side may be taking control of her. |

| Evanescence – Hello Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I now know this song to be about death from a child's point of view, but when I first heard it, I thought it was about someone losing touch with reality (i.e. "going insane"). I actually wrote an essay about it for English class. I am a writer, and the song helped me come up with a plotline for one of my stories. In it, the main character is slowly being driven insane by a voice who seems to exist within her head. The song sounds so haunting, it goes along with the story perfectly. I don't know that this helped anyone, but this was my original take on the song. | |

I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet! It's my favorite song by Neverending White Lights! This is a beautiful song...it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Daniel and Lexi's voices go together perfectly. As for the song meaning, I'm not entirely sure. I just wanted to post a comment so this song wouldn't look so lonely. |

Just one point of confusion: Who is the boy and who is the girl? This is a pretty song--one of the best off the new CD. I like their new sound a lot. It sounds less like Fall Out Boy and more like Panic at the Disco. |

| I heard that this song was about Joe Loeffler, the ex-bassist of the band. | |
| Fair to Midland – Tall Tales Taste like Sour Grapes Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Just one minor correction: It's actually "The devil's in the air and I''m spitting out prayers while the RUBBERNECKS all get their fill." I'm pretty sure this is right. I bought the CD and this is what it says inside the booklet. As for the song meaning, I agree with cyllan. |
