I just got a tattoo of "Got No Class" on my left arm without a stencil. I didn't want it to be purposely sloppy-looking so now it's genuinely sloppy sk'. The song is just about not acting a certain way just because it's the socially acceptable way to act--doing what you want, or what you think is right no matter what other people think about it. |

Recently read Lexicon Devil:the fast times and short life of Darby Crash and the Germs and it turns out the voices in the background are Pat Delaney and Don Bolles saying "Non Deus" which means "No God" in Latin. Fans of Darby Crash should check that book out, you can't find out much about him online, and most of it is wrong or inaccurate. Lexicon Devil is told through quotes from Darby Crash himself--first as Jan Paul Beahm, then Bobby Pin, and finally Darby Crash--and the people who knew him. You can't really understand what went into these lyrics unless you know what Darby went through. I knew he was fucked up, but that doesn't even begin to explain it. Darby was a modern-day Hitler--except without the hate... and the ability to rise to power. I still think he would have been the best leader the U.S has ever seen. Fascism could work with the right leader. |

The voice in the background sounds like "God lose" to me, maybe meaning he lost Darby's faith? I think this song is just about freedom. Don't do what the bible tells you, do what you want. live for yourself not for a god who more than likely doesn't exist. When I was small I obeyed his every word Handed down to me by some thoughtful blur But now I am as big as he, See... no God bigger than I-- No God frightening me... Look up terrorism, then look up christianity, lol. Christianity is based around fear. The main reason I don't believe in God is because I realized how much like an evil dictator he would be. "If you don't listen to me, you'll suffer for eternity. If you're gay, you're going to hell." Darby's basically saying not to let a bully tell you how to live your life, because without your faith that bully doesn't exist, therefore you are greater(bigger) than god. |

I agree with plastic scones, this whole song just sounds like Darby putting his life on paper. I like "I'm not one, I'm two" Though i don't know what he meant by it. |

This is an awesome song, I can't believe no ones commented on it. I think it's about people just messing around in things they don't really care about, trying to be cool. The start of the song seems contradictory to Darby's way of living. It sounds like he's bashing people for having casual sex, but by all accounts he was pretty big on random casual sex. |
