I think he's saying in this song that he just lives while he's living, right in the moment, carpe diem, and doesn't care about dying. If he dies, he dies, but there's no use thinking about it and it doesn't matter when it happens as well (cadejo is a spirit that appears at night for travellers, white ones will protect you, black ones will kill you). He left his heart to the wild hunt, he's not protecting it, people die every moment and his moment can come any moment as well. And I will sleep out in the glade just by the giant tree Just to be closer when my spirit's pulled away --> I think he's living his life fully and also close to nature, so when he dies he's already closer to where he will go, since dying is thing of nature. Has anyone else got an opinion about what this song is about? I'd love to discuss it. |

this song is so pure and beautiful. a real piece of art. i think it's about how her mother cared so much about her and raised her well and when she will have a baby she will do the same as her mother did for her, until her daughter will be big enough to go away and live a life of her own. and all of this is compared with the upbringing of birds. how the mother bird learns the baby bird to sing etc. And when a bird is big enough it will fly away from the nest. |

What a lovely song! I think it's about the fact that everything becomes wonderful when your in love. Suddenly empty coke cans look beautiful. and burnt out caravans aren't ugly no more. and the sparks and dragonspart is about that he would do anything for her, like real knights fighting dragons to save their love, i think. |
