The drum intro sounds very similar, if not the same, to 'Love's Sweet Exile' by the Manic Street Preachers.

Amazing, I think the meanings pretty obvious, a guy who's too shy to ask out his nieghbour. I think the lyric is 'invite her around' instead of 'buy her a round' but that's just what I'm hearing

I love this song but it drives me crazy that the first line says 'The girl next door' and then the rest of it says 'two doors down'. I know thats petty.
