People, people, people..fellow bloggers..the second verse is not about Beyonce or any other chick..see that's the lyrical genius that is shawn carter...the second verse is about (drumroll)....HIP-HOP...the times now for her/ in time shell mature/ then maybe we can be we again like we were....that's obvious...as far as the age "23" reference hip-hop came to the forefront in 1983...therefore placing us in 2006...understand Kingdom Come was an album that centered around jays feelings towards the state of the game...think of the second verse of Lost Ones as the equivalent of Commons classic "I Used To Love H.E.R"...if you haven't heard it....smh... |
