Yeah I have never heard this song until just now, but I heard of it, and what it was about. That's why I was so surprised by the sound of the song, it does sound like the same kind of music they'd use for their funnier songs, which is why it's so weird that it's about something so personal. |

At first I was just being stupid and going to say that "switchblade" is a euphemism for penis, but now I actually think it is. I may be wrong, havent gotten the album yet, but when he says "i like together" i think it's "I lied together" (with a girl) and the girl did not please him, or maybe, he didn't have the feeling for her he thought he would, so all he got was a switchblade... an erection that didn't leave him the way he wanted. It fits well enough, but to me if thats what its about, the lyrics might seem like sort of a dig at all those bands, which I doubt he would do. To me it's a song about like, wanting to get married, or being engaged. Like when he's saying We've been good Even a blast, but Don't you feel like something's missing here? Don't you dare To me that's not bad, the line about something missing. I think he's just saying like, he's ready to be married now. Or the narrator or the song is, whatever. Great song though. |
