The Cure – Lullaby Lyrics 17 years ago
I've always listened to this song as if it it literally about arachnophobia.

It's a spier-man as opposed to just a spider simply because I and many other arachnophobics give Spider personalities, because they are so terrifying, they appear almost as if they were human, and they know what's going through our minds.

"I feel like I'm being eaten by..." This line refers to the 'pricks' of fear that happen on your back and the top of your arms when you see a spider, and "Waking up in the freezing cold" is a cold sweat, simply of fear again.

"Having you for dinner tonight" The spider-man is obviously not actually going to eat you, but that's the natural fear that comes with arachnophobia, that the spider in question will devour you. This also links in with "The spider-man is always hungry" because the spider may actually have no physical appetite, but we cannot tell, and they always act in the same way, therefore, the fear of being eaten is always present.

I could do more but I'm tired -.-

The Feeling – I Love It When You Call Lyrics 17 years ago
I've always heard it 'So what's the complication it's only conversation'... not 'Say'.

Brilliant song, if you can, get your hands on the special 2 disc edition of Join With Us, it has this song sung by a choir :)

Editors – The Racing Rats Lyrics 17 years ago
@matrixlover: Yep, you've pretty much summed it all up, except the fact that 'words spill from my drunken mouth' is not only what you said, but he is also drowning his sorrows in alcohol, and therefore revealing all the experiences of his love for this woman, even things he may not want to tell anyone.

Editors – When Anger Shows Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's about someone who loves someone in a way that they don't love them back (The change in your face when anger shows). They love this person so much that earlier they felt this love could not die (Something you thought would always be there will die like everything else), but now he feels he is losing the person in question, and tries his hardest to make himself love her again (Thesse thoughts I must no think of).

He also cannot fathom life without loving this person (Dreams I can't make sense of). He just wants her to love him so as to re-kindle his love for her (I need you to tell me it's ok).

Editors – All Sparks Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, it's refering to the fact that in the end, all life will eventually cease. 'All sparks' links to many religious views on life being a 'Spark' of God, or some higher deity.

Rendering all human activity, utterly pointless.

But it's strange, because it's got such a lighthearted rhythm to it, with completely contradicting lyrics, quite similar in their other songs as well, especially Camera...
