How does this song not have any comments?! It's so amazing. Steve's voice at the end when he's singing "The one, the one." is too incredible. In my opinion, this song is about two lovers that don't want to let go, but something(someone) is trying to stop them. Not quite sure though. |

-Nods- Above comment is right, but I like to think of it as a relationship that was perfect. That everyone looked up to. (Speaking from my own personal experience.. and how this song has affected me), and now they both have changed. "Let's just stop, drop everything, (forget each other's names) forget each other's names, And just walk away. Turn around and head in different directions, Like we never, it's like we never knew each other at all. We said what we feel, then we stop ourselves, And just walk away. Never looking back, Loving every second of it, we just walk away." ^The person just wants to forget everything ever happened, so they dont have to live with the guilt and memories of his/her relationship. This is probably the best, not to mention the worst idea, that I have ever had. ^The person thinks its best for them, but then again doesn't want it to happen, hence that it's probably the worst idea. Ignoring what we've loved, Overlooking what we've done, No awkward silences, no hiding any truths What do you say? ^The person wants to hear the opinion of his/her partner, and just say what he/she feels. The whole truth. Answer me! All egos aside, what do you say? ^I think this relates that one of the people in the relationship had a personality that think they were better than the other, hence why the relationship is breaking apart. Exactly. 100% what it's like for me. So yeah, kinda related it to my life, lol. But it's what the lyrics mean to me, IMO. |

| At first I agreed with Hixey but recently I've been playing the play list backwards and I just hear a story each time. Starting with Now the One you Once Loved is Leaving, then ..ha, yeah it got pretty bad. etc. I like to think of this whole album as a story of a couple who were having troubles with drugs (maybe not?) or just differences, and then they get back together. One More Day is when the song refers to the couple getting back together. Hospital refers to it not being the same as it once was. (The relationship) and etc. | |
