After I read Xarin's comment, I looked Nicholas Thayer's name up on the internet, and he was in a car accident, and two people died. So maybe that's what it's referring to when he says "you both" and “I wish it was me in the car that day.” |

It seems to me like he's finally started to be able to accept some kind of pain, but she's making him start to hope again, and he's afraid. He doesn't want to be rescued because, at least when he's numb, it doesn't hurt. If she rescues him, what will happen to him? But he still loves her, and that's why he's so worried she'll rescue him.
And I think the idea about it being that he didn't want to leave his girlfriend to tour on the first page is good, too... |

I think...
They love each other, but they have been fighting a lot and she thinks that he's not trying. He swore that he'd be strong, but failed and has let her down. But now he realizes how much she means to him, and is going to fall for her again. ^.^ |

| Secondhand Serenade – The Last Song Ever Lyrics

I think...
He did something to hurt the girl he loves and she left. Now, he feels horrible and wants her to forgive him and come back because her hurting her and being without her is killing him. She's everything, and all wants is to hear her voice. He wants her to scream at him for what he's done, but he wants to hear her laugh at... something. Probably the absurdity of the mistake that hurt her. But "last song ever" and "does she love you?" means that he's giving up that she'll ever forgive him. |

I think...
He loves a girl who keeps secrets and thinks that she is invincible, but doesn't think much of herself. But he knows she's not fearless or invincible like she acts, and is trying to convince her that it's not a bad thing to show pain or fear, and that he'll help her though it. |

Lol...
Okay, here's what I think the song is about.
Two people love each other, but they're having trouble with their relationship and the girl is ready to give up. He asks her to give him time to show her that their relationship is worth fighting for, and then to fight for it. |

For some reason, they love each other but they think it is better for them to be apart. They're trying to stay apart, and it seems like the girl is hurting him to keep them apart, even though both of them still seem to care. At first, he tries to survive alone, but can't stand it, so he calls for her help. He tries to tell himself he's not regretting their decision to stay apart, but it's not working and he calls her to save him. |

I think their relationship has ended, and he's mourning it, becuase he still loves her. He wishes he could go back and undo what went wrong, but knows they can't and it hurts. He wants to give up, but loves her so much he refuses to. He tries to get her to come back... and this is the song. |

I think he loves this girl, but no matter how hard he tries, she keeps pushing him away. He feels sorry for her and wants to help her becuase he knows something is wrong with her. He hates this song because he know how hard loving her is/will be, but he loves her so much and has "nothing else to loose"

Um... I'm probably thinking too much, but I think its about a guy who falls in love with a girl. She doesn't believe in love, but he knows he loves her and eventually gets her to fall in love with him. But then later, she leaves and he's heartbroken and searches everywhere for her. The part where juliet simms sings is telling her side of the story. She did something terrible, something so bad that she can't be with him because she feels so guilty. She tries to pretend she doesn't love him "I'm over you now" and that she's moved on to better things "i'm at home in the clouds - towering over your head" But of course she does still love him, that's why she left.
At the end the guy is saying "I guess I'll go home" to show that he knows she's gone but isn't ready to give up on her. |
