do you have the album? in the booklet in wishmaster it says "hasten to drown into beautiful eyes"... it also says that in the lyrics on their website, and also apparently tuomas and jukka's favourite song is "creek mary's blood" on once can't remember where i heard it though |

this songs so beautiful it kills me,
a while ago i made my ex-boyfriend (wasn't my ex then) sit down and listen to the whole of this song.
he said to me "why is she sad?" and i said "because she's very much in love with someone who doesn't love her back" and he said "oh ok, wait, why don't they love her back" i got frustrated and was like "because, it doesn't always work that way!" he said "ok, why is she bleeding?" then i git pissed and i was like "IT'S A METAPHOR BRENDAN!!!!" he just doesn't get metaphors... lol |

off the subject i was listening to this song and it inspired me to write this story, absolutely unrelated to the song meaning, the story was about this chick exhibiting anorexic/bullimic behaviour. she had been abused as a kid and as a result had gone insane she worshipped this chick called elvy who became her best friend then she woke up and found out elvy wasn't real, just a metaphor for her eating disorder, random i know! so as a tribute i called the story 'she is my sin'! |

i'm a completely obsessively massive nightwish fan, i obsess over tuomas's lyrics because they are like poetry: beautiful. this song especially spoke to me, i almost thought sexual abuse, but maybe the 'rape' is metaphorical? even though i was soooo sad about them losing tarja, this song just wouldn't have worked without Anette, none of the 'dark passion play' songs would've. has anyone seen nightwish live with Anette, i'm going next month, are they good minus tarja? |
